We have a 3 story new build that needs an injection of style. The stairs and landing have pretty much no natural light. Hi Hometalk Peoples. I think our house just gets bigger and bigger and the projects just keep growing. Bet some of you can relate. We have removed all the carpeting from this house, including the stairs. Once the living room is done, the staircase is next. It has a landing we want to remove and just make it flow straight. The landing forces the stairs to open partially into a wall. Annnnd the landings are pretty close 😆 I added @hewnfloor Square Nose Stair Trim to all my treads and filled in the back with floor boards, added their Elite Join flooring to my landings, replaced the risers with some white hardboard, the baseboards with 1x6s, and went through more tubes of caulk than I can count, but LOOOOOK!!! And how do we feel about the landings now? Cohesive?? I think I want to add a cushion to the lower landing and find a couple rugs… and maybe actually swap the lower light. But I’m going to hold off on a runner for now. It just looks so clean! But the big stuff is done and I’m so proud of how it looks!! What do you think??
