I used 2 coats of Retique It Light Wood Color Liquid Wood on the railing and spindles. I then stained the railing with 1 coat of Varathane Kona Stain and painted two coats of black paint on the spindles. I finished everything with 1 coat of Varathane Matte Polyurethane.
