So, my (cheap, rational) heart of hearts led me to Home Depot to create a stand for our DIY faux-to booth backdrop. I had searched online for tutorials, but could only find extremely complicated versions involving power tools (and I preferred to keep all of my phalanges attached). Thus, we developed our own method which 1) ended up working out quite well 2) was cheap and 3) was easy to build.

PVC towel rack I bought three 10′ pvc pipes (3/4″)8 pvc standard T’s 2 pvc elbows 2 end caps (Note: make sure that the standard-T’s, elbows and caps are all the same size as the pvc pipe you’re using, and that they’re not threaded. The project won’t come together nearly as easily if things don’t fit) The towel rods were cut at 36″ each – which is the actual width of a standard beach towel. I saw this and got the idea of possibly making a hanging laundry rack from this only adding a couple "T" joint to the top sides so your hangers don't slide off.
