VFG 70s Fashion

It was the decade of Watergate, Roe vs. Wade, bell bottoms, Annie Hall, Farrah Fawcett hair, Star Wars and Studio 54. The 1970s saw a return to a fluid female form; the midi replaced the mini, separates were emphasized and DVF's 1973 wraparound dress sold into the millions. The fashions that started on a folksy note became expressions of music into the decade with the rise of glam rock, punk rock, disco and the beginnings of new wave.

Very avant garde flexible turban hat. Fabric is a a pleated satin which crosses over what looks like crini, all in a taupe color. Back center is a circular pattern of the same fabric done in tucks. It has just enough structure to be worn as a bubble crown pillbox. I have shown it both ways.

Beautiful vintage faux fur fedora from approximately the 1970s. Deep crown is indented and wrapped with a wide matching satin hatband that tucks down to the underneath brim on the right side. Brim is a taupe felt lined with the faux fur on the underneath, flips up on the left side, down on the right.
