Proposed change

Remove floors from the area overview dashboard so we can fully reorder them in the future.
A new option has also been added to the area card : vertical to match tile card configuration (only available in compact mode)

Hi @piitaya

It is related to the experimental area dashboard isn't it ?

If yes, I am not sur this is a good idea to remove floors, I found it useful as it shows a good presentation of the entire dwelling.

For me, first time I try it with 2025.7, immediate effect (especially on mobile) was, WOW nice (except the fact it is not possible to select entities in area card but this is another topic). Looks very good, even more thanks to compact mode (also a good idea).

My opinion is that you should keep floors :) at least with an option during dashboard creation, but I guess you already debate about it with the core dev team.

P.

It's a new dashboard we are currently building and testing. It's more a landing page to quickly access to all the aspect of your home. We want to experiment with areas only. So you can reorder the area by importance (no matter if there are located upstairs ou downstairs)

Here one example mockup created by the UX team.

Ha OK ! I didn't know about this new dashboard, can't wait to experiment it now :)
I hope I didn't offend you and the other contributors to this work with my previous comment.
