CakePHP 3.x Helpers for Bootstrap

CakePHP 3.x Helpers to generate HTML with @Twitter Boostrap style: Breadcrumbs, Flash, Form, Html, Modal, Navbar, Panel and Paginator helpers available!

I am currently working on rewritting the helpers for Bootstrap 4, current work status:

• FlashHelper - 100%
• FormHelper - 100% (Alpha)
• HtmlHelper - 100%
• ModalHelper - 0%
• NavbarHelper - 0%
• PaginatorHelper - 100% (Alpha)
• PanelHelper - 0%

Breaking changes from previous versions

• FormHelper:
  • it is not possible to place error message in a separate column in horizontal form, the error message will always be put below the input.

Note: It may happen that the generated HTML is not exactly the one required by Bootstrap, but the final rendering should be the same. Some examples are:

• the way radio controls are wrapped inside horizontal forms;
• the way checkbox and submit button are offseted in horizontal form (an empty <div> element is added before the input <div>).

How to... ?

Installation

If you want the latest Bootstrap 4 version of the plugin:

• Add the plugin to your composer.json (see below if you want to use another branch / version):

composer require holt59/cakephp3-bootstrap-helpers:v4-updated

• Load the plugin in your config/bootstrap.php:

Plugin::load('Bootstrap');

• Load the helpers you want in your View/AppView.php:

$this->loadHelper('Html', [
    'className' => 'Bootstrap.Html',
    // Other configuration options...
]);
