Long Time...New Crafts...

Hello! I know it has been ages since my last post--but gosh darn I have been a busy girl! My sweet and awesome hubby and I kept busy this past year with various trips, events, etc...Not bad that the first weekend of the year and we have no plans! Love it!

So since my last postings things in my craft/hobby world have changed. I haven't paper crafted since April 2011-shocking I know! I have since picked up a new hobby--and I totally love it! I am now crocheting like a maniac. I have made numerous granny squares to hone my gauge, several little hats, and table runners. I hope to post more often with the many projects I will be working on this year.

I am currently making a blanket my first crochet blanket: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/L10492.html?noImages= (picture to the left). It has been a really fun project, I am almost done with making all the squares - I have about 8 left!

I am already looking forward to my next blanket when this one is done! It is going to be one big Granny Square :) !



I was also so excited, not to mention bound and determined how to learn to make baby hats. The hat to the left is one I made from a pattern I found online! You can find the pattern here at AnnaVirgina Fashion!

For Fun...

It has been awhile since I have posted anything on here--shame on me I know!

Well I thought, for fun, I would post some pictures of some 3x3 cards I made--last year (eekk wow! Time flies when you are having fun!). My awesome and amazing hubby is my photographer, and I just love how he set up these shots! He is the bestest! ;)

Operation Write Home

Hey there! Long time no post---sorry! :) I have been a little busy working on planning my Etsy store; recently started selling Scentsy products, and making time for family time!

I have made a couple items that I will be posting soon! But I just wanted to pass along to you a link I saw on Facebook this morning! I have been following and recently made some cards for Operation Write Home. It is an amazing organization that sends homemade cards to the troops so that they can send them back home to their family and friends. Here is their blog post about how busy they have been! One of my goals is to make more cards for this organization. It just warms my heart to see how much good they do for so many!

Card Swap for Operation Write Home

Long time no post... sorry about that! Life sometimes just gets busy! I haven't had much time to craft lately, but a looming deadline for my monthly card swap group got me into my scraproom!

This month's theme is kiddo birthday cards, which will be sent to Operation Write Home for our troops!

I knew I wanted to use my newest Cricut cartridge, Create-a-Critter, so when I found the adorable paper @ Michaels I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The paper is from Creative Imagination the Debbie Mum Cowgirl Collection: Sheriff Paper and These Boots.



Please check out Operation Write Home-they also have a blog! I am so excited to finally get some cards to them! My hope is do more for them this year!

I will be posting a birthday banner I made for a friend very soon!

Me? A Guest Designer?

Howdy! Well, yes.. long time no post huh!? Bad!

I wanted to post and let you know that I am honored to be a Guest Designer on my friend Laura's Blog this week! I just posted my first project! It is a Valentine's themed "Clean"/"Dirty" sign for our dishwasher!




It was fun to make, and I may have to make one now for all the seasons/holidays!
