A long weekend!

We had a nice long weekend so we decided to head south for a little warmer weather and some good family bonding time.
We celebrated Ned's birthday while we were there (doesn't that banner look familiar in that setting).

We did a little golfing--several of us are not really golfers but it was a gorgeous day and we had carts that were so fun to drive.

We did a little cooking--we do love to cook and eat good food.

We visited the Jacob Hamblin home, played games and just generally had a good time relaxing and being together. Life is good!

Michael's Eagle Court of Honor

We had a court on honor in which Michael received his Eagle rank along with 3 other scouts in our ward. We are so proud of him and his accomplishments.

Iron Chef--Round 2

The contestants were not satisfied with the results of round 1 of the Iron Chef. It was a tie and they said that they wanted a "winner".
For round 2 we drew names out of a bowl to determine the teams.
Team A--Brad, Betsy and David
Team B--Sarah and Michael

The secret ingredient is revealed and the cooking begins.

Oh, the frustration and the drama

A race to finish plating in time

Team A
The judging was difficult but we did have a winner. Team B won the competition by 1 point.
Happy contestants--disastrous kitchen
Clean up, Clean up. Everyone involved had fun and round 3 is already being talked about
