Fun times in the Snow!

Tuesday the girls played hookie from school and we headed up to Flagstaff with Julie, Liz and the boys. We found a great place to go sledding at Wing Mountain. The area is only open to sled's and had various hill sizes to go down. The kids had a blast! The weather was perfect..sunny! Kenady is not afraid to get right into the snow. Skyleigh on the other hand would prefer to just sit back and watch.
Daddy helped KK build Mrs. Snowwoman. She turned out really pretty!

Cute family!

Eating snow was the best highlight for all the kidos!

Happy 12th Birthday Skyleigh!

Skyleigh was really excited to have "Uncle Jason and Stacy" come to celebrate her birthday. We spent the day at Castles and Coasters. Skyleigh LOVES that place, she requested to "go every year" for her birthday. Uncle Jason and Stacy went on EVERY ride with the girls, sometime several times :).

My baby turned 12 years old, December 31, 2010. It is hard to believe...seems like just yesterday we were trying to get settled into our hospital room when we could hear the nurses out in the nurses station yelling Happy New Year. We are so proud of the young lady she has turned out to be. She is really excited about the $111 dollars cash she received for her birthday. She also received $75 in Itunes cards, she made out big time! Last night she said "I can't believe I can say I have $111 dollars!" She asked her dad if she could buy a "puppy".....before she could get puppy out her dad replied with NO. I suggested she open a savings account, she replied with can I do it with this dollar bill? We will see what she ends up spending her $$ on. She likes to keep her money locked up in her room, so hopefully she will save it "her way".

Spring Break fun!!

We had so much fun this spring break...I know I'm kinda behind on posting pictures of Spring break. We stopped by the Hoover Dam on the way to LasVegas. John thought it was a lot smaller than he imagined. In the picture of the girls and I you can see just how low the water is. We spent about 2 hours at the dam, it was an amazing sight!

Then it was off to Vegas baby!! We stayed at Circus Circus, so much fun for the kids. Circus Circus has the largest indoor amusement park. We had a blast riding all the rides. Kenady did not want to ride the "double loop" roller coaster. But we all talked her into it and after that she loved it.

Daddy Daughter Dance

The girls had an awesome time with their daddy last Friday night! It was the Daddy Daughter dance at school. We all had dinner together and then got ready to go..makeup and all :) Kenday informed me that she no longer wants to dress the "same" as Skyleigh. Which was news to me because I have always bought them matching outfits and they love it. Well I was able to talk Kenady into getting the same outfit but different colors. Then while I was curling Kenady's hair Skyleigh informed me that she does not like her hair curled. I guess my "little" girls are growing up...kinda sad. They all looked very nice, so it was off to take pictures in the backyard right as the sun was setting. Kenady had the case of "jitter" feet and almost fell in the pool, thanks to daddy holding on her her only 1 leg got wet. Mommy had a nice quiet evening to myself!!

Our veggie garden

John has taken over my "flower bed" with veggies!!
He really does a great job growing our "homemade"
salad. We have romaine lettuce, yellow and green
bell peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes.

There is nothing better than fresh veggies.

Skyleigh loves to make our salad for dinner! And
she is really good at it!

John surprised me and planted
bulbs in my wheel barrel
garden. I have several
tulips and hyacinths.
