After a nice lunch in the Methodist Church coffee shop, we wandered into the shopping centre.
It offered views across to the single spired St Mary's church in the centre of town.
Beyond that lay the Minster pool which was home to some ducklings.
A narrow road led us down to the famous three-spired Cathedral.
We didn't venture in, but went around the side where we met King Charles II.
A plague in the pavement told us we were on the Heart of England Way.
Back home it had rained all day, but in Lichfield it was cool but sunny. As soon as we left the rain came down and before long we were stuck in a traffic jam on the M6
A photograph from our 2006 visit can be seen on my photoblog Sithenah.
