Chloe found another snake at our local park;was ecstatic; named it "lick lick"; begged to keep it; and cried for a good 30 minutes when I firmly but kindly said no.

Amber had the wonderful opportunity to attend Time Out for Women in Las Vegas with her sisters-in-law, Mother-in-law and Peter's wonderful cousin Deneigh who hosted, and Deneigh's Mom. It was a spiritually uplifting and great time!
We decided to spend Thanksgiving this year out in nature! We went camping at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada and had one of our most wonderful camping experiences so far! (The RV helped). It was a beautiful place and a great place to spend in "Thanks" for our many blessings.

This was in the "backyard" of our camping spot. A Gem! |

DECEMBER:
This December was full of joy and heartache for the Fjeldsted's. We got to watch Chloe and Mae perform in their dance and choir recitals and were so proud of them.We saw Santa at our Church Christmas Party. We got to spend Christmas with Amber's parents and all of her siblings and their children. We also had to say goodbye to our dear Grandma Sue (Peter's Grandma).

Mae is in the middle front (she was hilarious! The youngest of everyone) Chloe is wearing a red shirt on the right front |

Christmas in Idaho
We got to spend Christmas in Idaho with Amber's family and we had a beautiful white Christmas! It was a house full of fun, food and laughter. We also decided this year that from now on we will be scaling back on Christmas gifts. My kids get to pick one of the four options 1) One thing they want 2) One thing they need 3) One thing to wear 4) One thing to read. The kids were very aware of our new Christmas tradition and loved being part of it. They also didn't complain at all about not getting enough presents! I call that success!

Chloe wanted her own puppy. It's not real, but it can bark and walk :) |

Christmas wears us all out!
Sue Fjeldsted had a pulmonary embolism after knee surgery so her passing was unexpected. She was one of the kindest most Christlike people I know. We had the opportunity to attend her funeral and Peter was honored to share some memories of her during the program. Losing a loved one during Christmas time is a hard thing but it is also a wonderful reminder of the importance of the relationships we share with others and the things that matter most. Her funeral infused us all with more life and a desire to be better people. We love and miss you Grandma Sue!
