Today is not only Norway`s national day, but above all this day is the day my life`s biggest and truest love turned 18 years young.
Gabion on the 17th of May two years ago.
We celebrated it with a shower he just had. Haha I think we can say he enjoyed it. Not something usual for him, because getting a shower never belonged to his top 10 list of "Things Gab loves". No but after I did some math I came to the conclusion that Gab didn`t see a full body shower after about two years. Probably more, because I only used to wash him when I went on competition, and the last one was in 2009 I guess.
Not that I think its a must to wash my horses often, because they are outside in all weather and need their natural protection, but when my horse start to stink (haha) and feels dirty, its time for a wash, and my god it was not a luxury!!
I can say I am spoiled after all the clean horses on DVB, no dirt, washing whenever time, using Equi shine unlimited, because its just so easy to put them in the shower place and afterwards under the solarium. Unfortunately we don`t have those luxurys at home, (jet) haha. So we improvise with the garden hose connected to our shower and the solarium is replaced with some fleece blankets. It works also.... :P

I was 9 years old when my parents bought him, and he was 5 years old. (He still is the silly crazy and sweet horse we bought him that day) he is a part of the family, I love him, he is silly, crazy, and above all my soul mate. We went through a lot together, he moved with us to Norway, we went onto so many competitions, went on vacation together.
Gab is retired, but the energy that silly small horse has is abnormal. Above all I will start to take him out in the forests again, get some condition and muscles. I don`t expect we get out on any more competitions, but I don`t out rule that yet, haha. Let`s say its not our goal anymore. But Gab is a horse that loves to work, and if he enjoys his retirement better with some low level dressage training and some jumping from time to time, we will do that. But we`ll see. I`m just so happy he`s with us still <3 Seeing his fresh eyes, and happy little face everyday is already a gift!
