Belnap Family Easter April 2014

Easter with the Belnap's is never dull. It's quite an ordeal, to tell you the truth! With 12 siblings and their kids, there are a lot of us. Nana started the tradition of following yarn to get your basket a long time ago, and now that there are so many kids it's turned into quite the production. The Belnap's are very mischievous, and they love to make people really work for a treat. As you can see here, the kids are lined up at the fence with their string ready to get to work, finding their baskets.

Here's Amara on her way.

Sinjin

Tiernan

Tait. Not too sure about where his string in headed.

See what I mean? It's over the roof!

And wound around the light post.

Strike a post Dresdyn!

Don't let that smile fool you, Kade really didn't like this one bit!

Marcie found her basket!

Yay! Finally found it!

The teenagers took a lot longer to find their baskets.

Tiernan's was buried in the ground.

So was Monica's.

Then Nana "hides" toys in the trees and it's a free for all!

I think Kade and Dresdyn look alike, what do you think?

Now we get ready for the Easter Egg Hunt. Little ones first!

It's a sugar high for days after this!

Pine Wood Derby April 2014

Sinjin loves Cub Scouts! And one of his favorite things about scouts is the Pine Wood Derby. This time daddy copied last years car because it did so well, but we made it a Captain America Truck instead of just a plain old Army truck.

Kade loves to sit and watch with the big kids. He can't wait until it's his turn to make a car.

Here are the girls with their friends.

Getting ready to race.

Second Place.

First place at this race.

All over 2nd Place. Not too shabby!

After the real races are done, they let the kids race any car they brought with them. Kade was loving life.

Sinjin's 9th Birthday April 16, 2014

Sinjin turned 9 and we had a lot of fun celebrating him. We started the day off with breakfast in bed.

Look at how cute he is when he just wakes up!

Then on to the "tin foil gifts". Another fun tradition. Gifts wrapped in tin foil, just for fun and because it's easy.

He was a little excited about this gift. He's been waiting for it since Christmas!

Later on that day, he had his friend birthday party with 5 of his closest friends.

Singing Happy Birthday to Sinjin.

Kade wanted to help. He's such a good helper!

Sinjin's Birthday loot. He's such a great boy. We love him so much. He is our "opera singer" around the house and there in never a dull moment when he's around.
