SUPERMAN

To say that Cade is obsessed with Superman is the understatement of the year. All day long he pretends to fly, take his glasses off (like Clark Kent) and put his hands on his hips pushing his chest out and saying "I Superman!" Imagine his excitement when I bought him a Superman t-shirt and underwear. I'm pretty sure he really thinks he is superman now.

Last Sunday I decided it wasn't worth the fight to get Cade out of his new superman t-shirt. He wanted to wear it, for the 3rd day in a row, to church. We compromised and he was able to wear it under his church shirt. However, he quickly realized he could unbutton the bottom 2 buttons and spread his shirt open...pretending to be Clark Kent changing his clothes into his Superman costume. Sad to say this never got old and we laughed every time he did it.

What a handsome boy ready for church

Oh wait!!!! It's really SUPERMAN!!

This is Cade checking himself out in the reflection of the oven

Jaja Meyong

We love getting packages in the mail. We especially love getting packages with Korean food in the mail. Once again we are indebted to Jihyun Knudsen for some wonderful Korean food. Lily about jumped out of her pants when she saw that Jihyun sent some jaja meyong (I have no idea how to spell the name of this food). Jaja meyong is the Korean version of spaghetti but is a dark brown and looks and taste nothing like spaghetti! I think I will be sending some money to Jihyun so we can add jaja meyong packets to our food storage, along with seaweed paper. These two items have quickly become a staple in our household.

We love Jaja Meyong!!!

Even Aunt Michelle tried it liked it and she is a very picky eater!!

Gorgazzo

I found this post hidden away in my draft section. This was originally from December 2010 when mom and dad were here. OOPS!!

We were able to visit a cute little town called Gorgazzo last week. The main attraction is the beautiful mountain water spring that runs through the town.

We found a honey store. They have bee homes in the mountain and make the honey right here.

It was too hard to keep Cade from the water puddles. This was the hight
light of the day for Cade.

And of course you have to have a pizzeria!!!

Oh Happy Day!!

Cade knows how to make his mom happy. GO VOLS!!

Green Door

Only in Italy can you get away with having a green front door. I love this country.

Switzerland Fun

We were able to have some fun while we went to Switzerland. Ok, a lot of fun. The kids loooooved playing in the snow. It was extremely cold but it didn't stop us from getting out and and seeing the country.

Cade is sitting in the snow making snow angels so Lily decided to join him

Only Lily figured out very quickly that the snow is very cold and will indeed
go up her jacket and shirt!

We think by the look on her face that she thought hypothermia was going
to kick in any second

Cade doesn't care if his fingers, toes, feet, legs, arms, face or any part of his body are numb.
He's still going to play in the snow.

Lily finally getting back into the spirit of fun

We didn't take enough food so when the kids got hungry we told them to eat snow.

Waiting for the train to go into Bern

HUGE chocolate store. We were so excited to get Swiss chocolate, but it wasn't that great and it was pretty expensive. We still got it and ate it though!!

This is a slide that goes from the ground level of the street down into a candy store. The kids cared more about the slide then the candy thank goodness!!

Cade eating his chocolate fish from the HUGE chocolate store

Cade got hungry again so we told him to eat more snow

He's full now

Switzerland Temple

In November we had the opportunity to attend the temple in Bern Switzerland. What a beautiful temple. I am so grateful for the opportunity we have to visit temples all over the world. The temple is my favorite place on earth and I look forward to the time that Tyler and I can go on a temple mission together.
