- Pont-rhyd-y-groes (also known as Pontrhydygroes, English: the bridge of the ford of the cross) is a village near Cwm Ystwyth and Pont ar Fynach (Devil's Bridge), in Ceredigion, Wales. The village takes its name from the bridge (Welsh: pont) and (earlier) ford (Welsh: rhyd) over the River Ystwyth. The area used to be dominated by the mining industry, in particular by the Lisburnes. The miners' bridge across the Ystwyth gorge and the waterfall have been rebuilt. The remnants of the Fron Goch mines, which mined lead and zinc from ca. 1760 until ca. 1903, are situated approximately 1+3⁄4 miles (2+3⁄4 km) north of the village. (en)

Położona jest nad rzeką Ystwyth, w miejscu, gdzie przekraczali ją pielgrzymi zmierzający do cysterskiego klasztoru Strata Florida. W pobliżu znajdują się miejscowości , oraz Ysbyty Ystwyth. Okolica była obszarem wydobycia cynku i ołowiu. Pozostałości kopalni Frongoch znajdują się około 3 km od Pont-rhyd-y-groes. Most, od którego wzięła nazwę miejscowość, został wzniesiony około 1850 roku, by umożliwić pracownikom przekroczenie wąwozu Ystwyth w drodze do kopalni. Most został prawdopodobnie zniszczony w latach 30. Obecnie istniejący powstał w 2002 roku. (pl)
