Easter

 My favorite time of year.  Everything is green and lush and full of life.

It was a lovely Easter.  Lunch at Lure and then a hike in Malibu State Park.

Got out of town....

 Had an early Easter visit with mom in Santa Barbara.  We ate and shopped and cruised around town.  It was a fun day.

Then put mom on the bus back to Lompoc and I met up with Lorie for a delicious dinner (home made Poke bowls - yum!!!) and then we went to The Granada Theatre to see the Alvin Alley dance troop.  A lovely evening for sure.

The Granada is a beautiful theatre.  It reminds me of the Pantages.  They knew how to build them in the old days.

THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!

 Had to get out there and join my fellow Los Feliz neighbors in a protest against all the crap that's been going on this year.  It was a successful event - many people showed up.  This is what Democracy looks like!

When we got home there was a little package left at my door from our mailwoman Maria.  We had passed her on our way to the protest and she wanted to say "thanks."

Recording Danni Darville's Animation Demo

Demo day for Danni.  We had a blast recording her animation demo.  It felt so good to get out of the office and in to the studio.  I love recording demos, they're so creative and full of new beginnings energy.  

Even though I've known Danni for a year, this is the first time I met her in person.  She's even more lovely in real life!  When you're sharing your creativity you become close friends in a matter of moments.

Rebecca Davis's Birthday Party

 I love voiceover people.  We enjoyed ourselves so much at Rebecca's birthday bash at the Red Lion Inn.  A room full of talented people, all so kind and giving, no airs, helpful, fun and creative.  Being at this party reminded me why I love working in the voiceover field.  When you go to "actor" parties it's very "who's who, what have you done" type of feel.  But go to a vo party - everyone is sharing and caring and no phony vibes to be found.  Big difference in life.   Glad I figured that out, I'm much happier since I did :)

Desert X 2025

 I always look forward to Desert X art installations.  It's my favorite art show because it's all huge art pieces set in the desert around Palm Springs so you get art and views and desert air and sky all wrapped in to one experience.

After a drive to Rancho Mirage and our first art installation...it was time to eat.  We drove towards our next art piece and wound-up at Manhatten In The Desert Deli.  And who did we sit next to?  Blast from the past t.v. kid...Danny Bonaduce.  Even though he was like 10 in The Partridge Family and now he's in his sixties...you still recognize his face as soon as you look at him.
