Camping at Jellystone

We spent the weekend up in the Catskills at a Jellystone Campground. It was quite the experience and a perfect summer weekend away in the mountains! The park has tons of different rustic cabins and RV camping spots and even tent camping spots. We were in a cabin and it was close quarters but also perfect weather to be outside whenever possible enjoying the scenery and company.

The campground has a pool area with pools, lazy river, and splash pad/water park. There are activities like mining for gems, fishing, laser tag, and movies at night in the field, and more! We enjoyed time at the pools, took some nice walks, and even waded into the river! It was a perfect midsummer getaway and some fun time with Judah's side of the family!

The Good:

We spent the weekend in the Catskill Mountains, which meant amazing stargazing views! I looked up one night and the Little Dipper was staring down at us!

Had to love this small town street sign!

We were glamping with Judah's sister and her family, my mother-in-law and niece, and had the best time all together!

Top of the Rock

I have finally been to the Top of the Rock! When we were in the city on Sunday with Eliana, we wanted to give her a great view of the city and neither Judah or I had been up to the top of Rockefeller Center so we snagged tickets to the famed Top of the Rock! As skyscraper lookouts go in the city, this was quite reasonably priced and the views were stunning!

We lucked out with super weather and amazing views from 70 floors up! The architecture is also as amazing as the views with the art deco building really makes it a unique experience. Eliana loved seeing the city from so high up and we had fun pointing out other landmarks for her, too!

Swanky Coffee

There is a new swanky coffee shot on the east side near Grand Central! Felix Roasting Co. is serving looks and coffee in the bottom of an office building on Park Avenue. I popped in to check out the space (and the price of the lattes...don't even ask...). The space is stunning - they took a modern building and made it feel like a French cafe with some modern flair!

It is nice to have little coffee shops like this that aren't big box Starbucks - even if you need to sell your kidney to get more than a small espresso!
