Family Pictures

I love how these turned out! Thank you Shanna! ( http://shannamichellephotography.blogspot.com/ )

We had these taken in our back field a couple weeks ago. It's amazing how fast our little family is growing up! Thank you Ben for passing on your incredible good looks to our children:) One of my favorite pictures (it's been so hard to choose) I am saving for our Christmas card, so you'll just have to be patient. Or you can stop by our house (hint, hint). I am going to have it printed to hang in the family room:)

Amanda's Pictures

About 2 months before Amanda was born, my neighbor, Susan Ray, came up to me at church and said she was going to make Amanda's blessing dress. I didn't know exactly what to say...it was such a huge gesture! A month later, she stopped by to drop off the dress, hat and booties. WOW!!! I got all teary...it was absolutely incredible. The most beautiful dress I had ever seen! I knew right then that I would have to get "real" pictures of Amanda taken in her dress. I called my friend Shanna who has an awesome photography blog ( http://shannamichellephotography.blogspot.com ) that I love to stalk. She came over to my house and took these fabulous pictures of our sweet baby girl at 5 weeks old.

Amanda is just a joy in our house! She is amazingly sweet, cuddly, a good sleeper and she already puts up with so much from her brothers! We just love her to pieces!

HeersTheMayGirl!!!

Our sweet baby Amanda joined us August 19th, 2011 at 9:35 am. She was 7 lb 13 oz and 21 inches long. She has dark hair and eyes that seem to get a little bluer each day. She is a great baby! She eats and sleeps really well. Her brothers adore her and so do her parents. We are soooo happy!!!

Here are some photos to enjoy...

She is already learning to wink;)

Taking a nap amidst all the chaos here at the May home. We put her port-a-crib in the family room and she is already used to the noise:) Notice the super cute blanket underneath her that her Great-Grandma Silvestri made her.

Kyle giving her a kiss. He wanted to know why he always wants to eat her. She just seems so yummy!

Our baby lover Riley. He "rubs and kisses" her constantly. I have found her with Cheetoh and cookie kisses on her head already. I had never heard him say the word beautiful before, but now he calls her "so beautiful and so pretty and so softly." I love it!

Jason will sit and hold Amanda for a long time. He is a great big brother!

There is just something cute about a crying baby picture.

I finally got a 4 generation picture of girls! My grandma Silvestri, Me and Amanda, and my mom.

It may be a little early, but I think I am seeing some volleyball hands here!!!!

Sleeping at the hospital.

Daddy is a little awestruck by a baby girl!

Sean is a great oldest brother. He takes care of everything going on around us. I don't know what I'd do without him!

All the boys with their new little sister. This is just hours after her birth.

It's Going to Be a.........

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For those of you who we haven't talked to recently we are expecting in August and today we found out that we're having a girl. Really, truly!!! We are soooooo excited!!!! The boys have already given each other assignments...Sean is in charge of teaching her football, Jason is in charge of teaching her not to like dresses and Kyle is in charge of teaching her to like hunting. Riley is in denial and will not acknowledge even the idea of a girl yet. We hope he will come around in the next few months:) This will be a fun adventure for us. Ben and I are just giddy. This will add such a new dimension to our not-so-little family. I will have to come up with a new clever name for our blog. Although, at the rate I've been blogging the little girl will be 2 before I post again:)

Piute Reservoir

We went camping to Piute a couple weeks ago. We had such a great time. We found this "Enchanted Forest" of cottonwood trees where there we no people. The trees were huge and provided some great shade and they were full of Night Herons and Great-horned Owls. (For a bird-watching family, this is quite the highlight!) Ben made a teeter-totter out of a huge log and we spent much of our time there. We also waded in the lake (the water was way to cold to actually swim), ate some delicious food, did a little rabbit hunting and fishing (more luck with the rabbits than the fish), and made some great memories. Thanks Ben for always taking us on such fun adventures!

Check out our sweet teeter-totter!

Sean can climb!

Nothing like little boys and lots of dirt!

Dad...do you see what you've started? Kyle thinks he needs to pull up his shirt in every family photo:)

MAYHEM

To anyone who ever looks at this blog...sorry it's been a while. We've been too busy having fun:) I would get the desire to blog, then think of all the things we've been doing and I would get overwhelmed with all I wanted to post. Lame excuse, I know, but it's all I've got.

So...I'm just going to skip the last few months and go straight to the good stuff:)

We were able to go see my parents in Hawaii while they are serving as missionaries on the Big Island. It was absolutely amazing! And crazy! And in a word...MAYHEM! That's our new family motto...MAYHEM It just seems to sum it all up. But our trip was fantastic, better than we ever dreamed. It was so fun to see my parents and see what amazing missionaries they are. A few days after we left they held a baptism for 13 people! Wow!

While we were there, we went to beach every day, we ate shave ice (but only once due to the amount of spilling and sliming that was occuring to other people's shoes and clothing that caused them to give us dirty looks and move away from us), we swam with turtles, we snorkeled, we boogie boarded, we watched the sunset, we ate AMAZING food, we had an unfortunate potty incident involving a large scary dog, we swam in swimming pools (sleep-deprived Riley even fell asleep once while in the pool), we visited the ancient hawaiian place of refuge, we got tans, we were like a traveling boy circus (we got comments/questions about our 4 boys several times each day), we caught ocean fish on bamboo poles with grandpa (whom Sean and Jason woke up at 5:45 am with poles and mackerel in hand) and we had the TIME OF OUR LIVES!!!

Happy Day

We are having a wonderfully relaxing Sunday here...we had muffins, peaches and chocolate milk for breakfast, some geese just flew by honking, Sean Jason and Kyle are getting some pre-church jitters out by playing football in the snow and building snowmen, Riley's taking a nap...does it get better?

My mom made me, Kyle and Riley these CUTE hats! Kyle and I wear ours all the time. Riley will wear his for about 5 minutes, which is quite impressive actually. Thanks mom!!!

They really are best friends.

This one cracks me up. Such funny boys we have. I love how Kyle wants to do whatever the 'big boys' are doing.

My AWESOME friend Katie threw me a 'better late than never' 30th birthday party for my 31st and we had such a great time! Check out her amazing cake. This was the first time she ever made fondant and it was so cute! Inside was a mint chocolate layer cake. Yummy!

These are my super fun friends. Thanks everyone!

The pre-party celebration was me, Kirstin and Katie night skiing. I LOVED it!!! I am so lucky to have such great friends.

So the next week, I had to have Katie teach me how to make fondant and this is what we created. Sweet, huh? Inside was a vanilla cake with lemon curd and buttercream frosting. Not bad!

Riley's sucker after a haircut. I think he is looking so much like Sean did.
