Lately

A lot of FUN chiz has gone on these past few weeks :)) SO lets start with -

HIGHLAND SYMPHONY!

I have been freaking out this entire year for these auditions, and all my work has paid off :) I was notifiedwhile in Florida that I was put into the highest orchestra at HHS. Im sooo extremely excited, especially for the awesome music, trips, and all my friends that'll be with me! It was also special because Mr. Bill, my amazing old viola teacher who is gone now, told me before he disappeared(? huge mystery to us about why he stopped teaching) that I'll be principal in that symphony, ( maybe not 9th grade, but who knows!) So I really wanted to make him proud! <3

Winners!

A group of friends and I entered into the Battle of the Short Films contest at school and WON! But it wasnt so much the winning part of it, but spending that day making this movie and making so many memories!!

Concerts :)

Anyone who knows me knows I live for concerts :) I loved going to the HHS concert, and watching them play Harry Potter of course. Also, it was our last 8th grade concert playing together. Our group is agood one, and its been fun! I also received the " Most Outstanding" award from Mrs Bennett, which is always cool! We always take cute pics at concerts v :P

The Crew :)

Fun with Friends

Ive been doing some pretty fun and crazy stuff with friends lately :) Playing a lot of 007, night games, chillin, and laughing!!

v The " Awkward Family Photo" <3 v

Story ^: Four of us were running together in 007. We started at Sonic, and had no clue how to get to base. We start weaving through unfamiliar neighborhoods, not even paying attention to where were going. After about 30min, I decide to check my GPS to see if were even headed in the right direction. Green= US, Red= Where we were supposed to go.... SO, yes, we ended up a mile away from the destination.... But the whole fun of it was the time we spent together, lost, and the secrets we shared!! May Lompoc Adventurers Live Forever!!! Hahaha :)))

Harry Potter World >:D

SO the fam took a vacation to Orlando Florida a few weeks ago. Of course, I was about to pee myself at the thought of going to the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter addition to Universal Studios. It was SPECTACULAR! Although we did spend time around the entire park, the HP part was the BEST. They've created it to look just like Hogsmead with platform 9 3/4, Three Broomsticks, Ollivanders, Honeydukes & Zonkos, Hogs Head, Owl post, and of course Hogwarts. Hogwarts castle was HUGE! It looked just like in the movies, and everyone just stands in awe looking at it. The bestpart was going INSIDE. The line for the HP ride took you all throughout hogwarts. You found paintings talking to you, recognizable rooms like - Dumbledores office, Defense against the Dark Arts, Common Room, Great Hall, and a few others. It was amazing, and it felt like you were apart of the books!! Of course, being the nerd I am, I was in Heaven.. And was shouting spells at all the monsters on the ride ;)) <3

Goodbye MYS :(

What can I say except that this was the best season of Metropolitan Youth Symphony :) Basically all my buds are leaving due to age, and dont know how Im going to survive without them next year! Theres way too many memories, its been so amazing! :))

Tie Dye Last Rehearsal :)

So Alexis did a How to Host a Murder Game,
it was soooo FUN!!! We all had to dress up like the game

about who killed Rock n Roley. It was our high school reunion
from the class of 1954 and we got so into it!! Me ( Joe), Alexis (Penny)
and Shaelyn (Cal) turned out to be the murderers... Haha! :)

Temple Trip

A few weeks ago, Alexis and I went with her mom to 8 different temples in Utah! I could really feel the spirit when we were doing baptisms in all of them. There was ALOT of driving, but it was totally worth it :D These are all the temples we went to (in order).

St. George Temple
This was our first temple we went to, and it's the oldest working temple in the world!! This was definitely one of my favorites because it had so much history behind it. The Founding Fathers actually came ( as spirits) to Wilford Woodruff and asked for their temple work to be done!! It's cool and creepy at the same time... haha. Also Brigham put together the font himself so thats pretty sweet too.

Manti Temple
This temple also has a lot of history behind it. The hill that it's built on was dedicated for a temple by Moroni like forever ago! Its amazing! This temple looked like a castle and had walls that looked like a fortress extending from it. That night we went to the Mormon Miracle Pageant which told stories from the book of mormon in play form. We actually learned alot from it! There was probably 20.000 people there... The Pageant attracts a bunch of people. I really liked spending time in Manti.

Draper Temple

Jordan River Temple

Oquirrh Mountain

Salt Lake Temple
This temple was defintiely my favorite next to St. George... It's soooo beautiful!!! I honestly took a billion pictures of this temple. Well since its the most recognized mormon structure in the world, everybody is dazzled by it. I really felt the spirit here, especially since I was thinking of how Christ probably physically walks the halls here all the time :) I love this Temple.

Spending the day in Salt Lake City
While we were in Salt Lake we spent time in some of the museums and other buildings.
It was really fun and I loved seeing all the different things :D

Conference Center

Conference Building Roof Top Gardens

Brigham Young's House

Bountiful Temple

Mt. Timpanogos Temple

Combined, Alexis and I did 210 baptsims, and individually 105!! This trip definitely strengthened my testimony and im soooo happy I was able to go :)
