Christmas 2010
We had a wonderful Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Cox's house. My family always has a big party on Christmas Eve and this year I couldn't bear to miss it. So we packed up all our Christmas presents and headed for Fairview. When we finally got there, all we did was eat and eat. I guess we also opened presents, sang Christmas carols, went sledding, and shared the wonderful spirit of Christmas with my whole family.
Sienna and Aubrey on Christmas Eve day.
Everyone in my whole family, my Mom, Dad, my brothers and my sister and all of their family, was together this year. My entire immediate family! It was soooooo great! I love 'em all so much!!!
As usual, we were all so spoiled by my Mom and Dad. I don't know how to thank them enough. They always go above and beyond!
Sienna really got into unwrapping presents this year. She had a blast! I think anything toy story related was a big hit! Actually, I think they pretty much loved everything they opened this year.
Aubrey really didn't need any help opening her presents. I was just in the way.
My basket of goodies!
Christmas morning at grandma's. Luckily Santa knew where to find us.
The only thing Aubrey really wanted this year from Santa...a Fashion Fairytale Barbie!
Aubrey guessed what nearly every present was before she opened it. Santa tried to be so sneaky this year. Santa's not so sneaky I guess, then again, maybe Aubrey's just psychic. haha
Sienna feeding her new baby doll. Oh, how sweet!
So fun! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, too! And Happy New Year!

Never Again!
Excuse me while I vent. A few weeks ago we had a much needed yard sale. Overall, it went pretty well. I guess that's the whole point of a yard sale, right? Get rid of stuff and get a little $.
Well, to make a long story short - I feel such regret over the littlest things (I expect no sympathy from anyone, corey, by-the-way). Mostly the kids' toys. I had a box of toys that we just took out of storage without even opening it. Now that I look back on it, that box of toys shouldn't have even gone to the yard sale.
Well, yard sales get a little crazy. People just started opening boxes and I didn't even get a chance to think about what toys I wanted to keep.
Well, I get really stupid under pressure. I sold Aubrey's barbie doll for a dollar. It wasn't just any barbie doll - it was Island Princess barbie. It sang songs from the movie. It's super hard to find now. I know, because yesterday Aubrey found the Island Princess movie and, of course, wanted her doll. Mostly out of curiosity, I looked online to see if I could possibly get another one for cheep - try $50 - $85!!!! Now I really feel silly.
I guess this really just means if I let myself, I would probably be a MAJOR hoarder. I could go on and on about the yard sale. Island Princess barbie is just one of the many items I regret selling.
I think in the future I should never have a yard sale again. I will give to D.I. just like I always have. At the same time, I was happy to get rid of a lot of stuff and we did make $. Never say never.

Bitter Sweet Good-bye

We sold our house and we are unexpectedly moving out this weekend. I guess inevitably it was expected, but we thought we had another week. So we are frantically packing and the more I pack the sadder I become. This has been our home, our very first home. We picked out everything for this house, from the location to the carpet. We've only lived here three short years and to tell you the truth, I expected to live here at least another two years. But when opportunity knocks, ya gotta answer. We were very blessed to have sold our house, but we have to leave behind a really great yard and house, a great neighborhood, not to mention the best ward ever. Like I said, it's very bitter sweet. Tomorrow will be our last day in our cute, little home.
The willow tree in the back yard makes for an especially good swing. Aubrey loves going as high as her dad can push her if you can't tell from this picture.
Sienna's favorite thing about the back yard is the slide that Corey brought home one day after he found it in a ditch somewhere.

EASTER
I know Easter was a while ago, but might as well post it for posterity's sake. We went to St. George this year for Easter with my entire family. My brothers and sister and their families along with my Mom and Dad. It was a full house! My girls loved it!
While it was snowy and miserable everywhere else, it was a nice 65 degrees and sunny in St. George. The kids were so excited to finally be able to play outside. Can't say I blame them considering we would not have weather like that in Logan for another couple of months possibly. When we got back from St. George they were still dying to go outside. In Logan they had to pretty much wear all their snow gear. In St. George they were running around outside in their T-shirts and capris. It's still pretty cold in Logan these days. At least we'll always have St. George to look back on. :) It was lovely!
Aubrey and Sienna the week before Easter, wearing their Easter dresses. They looked so unbelievably adorable that day!
Sienna was much more interested in watching her favorite show, "Diego," than coloring Easter eggs. (FYI - "Diego" was one of Sienna's very first words. I promise she doesn't watch it that much. Just in the car. We must travel a lot!)

My Funny Aubrey
Another funny thing is if Aubrey sees a dead bug, you'd think she'd say, "YUCK!" but instead she says, "we need to tell his mama." Then she yells, "Hey, mama a bug! Your son is dead!" That kinda sounds morbid now that I'm writing it, but at the time I thought, 'how sweet.' She's a crackup! I don't know where she gets these things.
