new paint job

When I suggested I get my front room painted a couple of weeks ago, Chino said, "how about conference weekend?" Hey, sounded good, and it really is good!! You can see the west wall color and keep on looking and you can see the lighter blue on the north and south walls.. It is amazing. . . . . Thanks, Chino!!! And to top it off, he brought Jocelyn along and she helped me vacuum and clean other rooms and then helped organize the preschool room. Hey, Hey, Hey!!! What a day!! Tiring, but worth it!!

I looked out the window and what did I see?? The delivery man getting our new appliances out of the back of the truck--Yeah!!! No more depending on the kids for clean clothes!!

After talking on the phone with a person who was supposed to be able to teach Michelle how to run the cash register, She is really discouraged as no matter what they tried, it was not working. And to top it off, as you can see by the following pictures, there WERE customers!!A great display case, huh??

Labor Day

Monday evening Jo invited us over to their house for a bbq and here are a few of the pictures I took. Julia and Sean came in and Sammy was asleep so Sean put him on the couch until he woke up. With all the confusion going on we were all amazed that Sammy just slept through it.
Julia here with our newest grandson, Joey

Andy had the grill going and look at that amazing aromatic mist escaping from the barbeque!!

Jo and Max in the kitchen getting things set up for us to eat. Catch those glasses Max is sporting. The newest craze today!!
Chips, watermelon, condiments, tomatoes, onions , hot dogs, hamburgers and some even had steaks and ribs. Yummy bbq food!!

A quick trip into Rockwell's bedroom shows the boys having fun playing together!! This is Rock and the Meacham boy

Joey needed some nourishment, too.

Philip and Melissa catching a football game
Michelle's family got to go to the movies to see Nanny McPhee. They had planned to go earlier, but with the Pool beckoning them to get ready for the "opening" the day just flew by and time got away from them. We missed having everyone there, but the best laid plans. . . . . . And today Jocelyn called and said she needed a costume and information about one of her ancestors. She chose Joseph Knight's granddaughter Julia Ann Cute little pioneer girl

Julia's new baby

August 11, 2010 4:29 a.m. Just about three hours ago, Sean called and said that it was about time for the baby to be born, so we got up, quickly changed and headed out to the hospital, hoping that we would make it in time. We got there and Julia seemed to be getting a little uncomfortable, hoping the doctor would get there soon. So, the nurses prepared the room, and we talked and got ready for the delivery. I am always honored when the girls have asked us to be at the hospital with them for the delivery. Grandpa sat closely by with camera in hand, just patiently waiting for things to happen. He is always very patient that way So here I am, holding that little bundle of joy!! Our 19th grandchild, our 13th little grandson. How blessed can one family be??

I got to stand by and look at this little tyke I was holding his hand and comforting him as he was prodded, footprints taken, temperature taken, and all the first minute birth things done. I talked to him and then all of a sudden, a little stream of water was emitted from this little fellow (with a smile on his face, by the way) to let us know just what he thought of all of this!!

Weigh in time!! We were pleasantly surprised!! 7 pounds 4 ounces and 19-1/2 inches long

He behaved very well, thank you!!

Julia and baby, see the wink he gives for the camera!!

It is almost too much to comprehend that a couple of pushes brought this little boy into the world!!

One happy little family--one very tired mommy!!

Oh, the first pictures!!

Hey, if I already put this one on, so what, isn't he a cutie!!

Looks like Sean?? Only time will tell!!

That first bonding moment!

Dad and Grandpa discuss the world issues and new cars!!

Here are the doctor and nurse that made all this run smoothly for our little family!! Dr. Heller and Nurse Wendy

What a way to end our pictures, with Sean and Julia and our new little grandson!!
