Halloween

Halloween might be the kids' favorite holiday. They both love dressing up in costumes and eating candy. This year Evey is a zookeeper and Mae is Cinderella.

The first party of the season was at our friends house. Evey and Mae talk about her Halloween party year around.

Eating donuts off a string. It was super hard to do!

 Zookeeper turned vampire.

The girls each had a class party as well. Mae's favorite part was dancing to the spooky music.

Evey liked the cookie decorating at her class party...I didn't get a picture. :(

We also had a ward trunk-or-treat in addition to Halloween night trick-or treating.

Fun Run

Every year the girls' school has a fun run fundraiser. This year was extra hot-- I think we were in the 100s that day. I was amazed at their endurance and good attitude the whole race.

Puerto Penasco, MEX

The kids had a four-day weekend so we packed up and headed south to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point), MEX. It's a short 4-hour drive from Phoenix. We had a great time. I'm sure we will go again!

Digging for crabs-- they were everywhere.

Beautiful sunsets every night.

Sisterly love.

Water slides and lazy rivers.

"Sleeeping" in a hammock then falling out.

 Waiting patiently for dinner.

Water all day, every day.

And a little yoga, for Evey.

These Days...

Mae likes to have dance parties. The girl has some moves. Mae also really likes to draw and write.
Evey likes to dance to Katie Perry's, Roar, while dressed up as either a tiger or t-rex. It's pretty cute.

90!

Grandma Berg turned 90 and we celebrated like champs. The three day event included picnics, hiking, service projects, fancy dinners, a tour or Grandma's childhood, singing, game playing and birthday cake.
The coolest part was the number of grand kids (35, I think) and great-grand kids (65+) that were able to be there. I hope she felt all the love!

Just after blowing out the candles.

Group hike to Castle Rock.

Thumbs up...they all thought it was a good hike.

Playing with cousins at the park

More playing.

Grandma with some of her great-grand kids.

More cousin time at Nana's and Papa G's house.

Family Outing

One day we were brave and ventured out to a skating rink. It was a disaster. The girls each fell hundreds of times. We were bruised and hurting but our 30 minutes there was fun.

This is probably my all time favorite picture of Evey and Lincoln.

Mae hanging on for dear life.

That same day we also tried a new restaurant. I love hole-in-the-wall type places with authentic and absolutely delicious food. The kids liked it too.
