Lyla's first Easter

The day before Easter Lyla went to the mall the meet the Easter Bunny. Lyla was so in love and it took a lot of effort to get her to face forward for the picture. So much fun!

Easter Morning Lyla came downstairs to find that the Easter Bunny had visited and brought her all kinds of toys and treats! What a special girl she is!

On Easter we all gathered at Aunt Bunny and Uncle Bob's for the annual Easter Egg Hunt and dinner. Here are many of the 2nd cousins getting ready to hut for eggs.

Lyla milestones 9/10 Months

Lyla's 9 month stats from her doctor appointment

Height - 28.75 Inches - 90%

Weight - 23 lbs 4 ounches > 95%

On March 13th, Lyla started sitting up in bed on her own. Came in to get her after a nap and this is what I found! She is becoming such a big girl!

This was the other thing we found in Lyla's crib when we went to put her down for a nap one day!

On April 2nd Lyla started crawling. The key for her learning was traction. As soon as she had a chance to move without pants on she took off. She is not crawling all over the place yet, but she certainly can crawl to get something she wants!

Pop Pop's Hibachi Birthday

For Pop pop's 60th Birthday we all gathered at Hibachi for a great dinner and lots of fun!

Everyone enjoyed the show and the flames! From the youngest to the oldest (Lyla to Mom) Haha!

Snow Storm 2010 and Lyla updates

Early in January Lyla sprouted a bottom tooth and about a week later the second came in. She was a champ and never got upset about it at all.

In the middle of January we faced a terrible case of RSV and Lyla was sick for 10 days, then I was sick and then Dave got sick. After all that passed and we had a clean bill of health - we were hit with Blizzard 1, 2 and what we thought would be 3 but we can only maybe call a 1/2. Here are some pictures of Lyla enjoying her first real snow, and some pictures of our surroundings.

This was almost enough make up pack up and head south!!! So happy spring is around the corner!!!

Christmas Morning

We had a wonderful first Christmas with Lyla. She thought opening presents was really fun and loved pulling on all the paper.

Lyla getting to dig into all her new toys. She loves the ball with the monkey on it. It makes really fun noises. Lyla is also a true athlete - she can dunk the basketball and make field goals already. She also enjoys hitting the football with the baseball bat. (Mommy is a bad influence)

She also loves her Laugh and Learn home, she enjoys opening and closing the front door and window! She is one curious little girl!

Christmas Season

Well time has flown by and this family faced a lot of challenges the end of 2009 and into early 2010. But we have made it through to the other side - and did manage to enjoy ourselves through the Christmas season.


Lyla meet Santa for the first time and she loved him. And he loved her - how could he not - look at that face.




We attended all kinds of fun parties during the christmas season and Lyla wore a ton of beautiful dresses. Unfortunately by time the cameras were brought out she was changed into something more comfortable.

Lyla's 6 Month Stats

Lyla is able to sit up on her own. She can also roll over - one way and then back again. She is still not a fan on being on her belly - unless she is getting lots of attention and has fun toys to play with.

Lyla is still growing like a weed and is just the happiest little girl ever.
