Five years ago today, we said I Do. We're back in Oregon to celebrate the best thing that's ever happened to us.

matt bought this for me in HERSHEY, PA {named after milton hershey, founder of hershey's chocolate company}.  although there was no chocolate river running through hershey, matt got to take a tour of a fake chocolate factory with dancing cows a la disneyland's "it's a small world" ride.  back to the reese's; these two peanut butter cups may look like a standard package, but take note of the size of my thumb on the left.  these babies are half a pound. each. cup.  i'm going to have to slice them up with a pizza cutter just to eat them {not that i'm complaining}.  addie, i wish you were here to share them with me.

Great-Grands

beware. the cuteness factor of this post is off the charts. take caution if you have a weak heart or shortness of breath or any other related symptoms because that may be a sign of . . . . .oh, never mind--just don't say that i didn't warn you.

the great-grandkids got together at {great} grandma and grandpa naegle's house on st. patrick's day

we celebrated by eating donuts with green and white sprinkles and green glazing. {thanks, unky matt}



some of us just ate the green glazing :)

they were very delicious

once we were sufficiently hopped up on sugar, we decided to visit the pigs



and then we visited the steers

and then played in the back yard

and jumped on the trampoline

{note the two guns. there were always at least one on his person at all times :) }





nice move, addie! {i ran to catch her at the bottom of the slide, but before i could, she did this fast little twist move and caught herself}

after we were nice and wind-blown, we decided to head inside

we played checkers

and the piano

ate some lunch {i think i witnessed a very similar sight 20+ years ago, except the participants were rivers, cas and natalie. deja vu!}

then we played "try-to-see-the-bug-inside-my-lens" game
and peek-a-boo. and then . . .

and then . . .

and then . . . guess who showed up?!

all four great-grands together!!

some of us were very interested in our newest visitor {so this is what's in my mommy's belly?}
baby jason is doing very well

Lindsay's Baby Shower

got to attend lindsay's baby shower a couple of weeks ago


bet you can't guess what the theme was


diane pulled out all the stops {as usual} ;)







i loved micah and zaisha's reactions when they walked into the house




we played some games and ate some yummy food

linny received many wonderful/beautiful gifts






before we all left, linny and nat were kind enough to pose for me--cute prego twinners!

all in all the shower was a smashing success  {and thanks to all who helped make it so successful :) }
