I know it's been MONTHS since I posted......but when mom went to 2nd shift, we don't spend much time together anymore. She is awake when I sleep and when she sleeps, I sleep MORE!!!
Anyways...mom wants to write about some important going ons. So here she is.

It has sadly come to my attention that some people are out to get Amanda Bradshaw. Owner of Puglet, Author of The Daily Puglet, Owner of Frolic Photography and the amazing woman behind the 1000Pugs project.
Apparently when Amanda started this phenomenal project, some certain people didn't take the time to actual read the rules or understand them.
Even to this very day, the project states it would take ONE YEAR. ONE PHOTOGRAPHER. The .com site never stated any *specific* dates as to when anyone would get their pictures, only that when the pictures were ready, each person would receive an email.
An email has been sent. I'll even share mine with you.
Hello Pugs!
January 28th marked the end of the year for 1,000 Pugs. There aren't words for how long the past year has been for me - or how happy I am to FINALLY be able to send this email. I know this update has been a loooong time coming.
HUGE thanks to everyone who waited patiently for this day to come!!!
To the not-so-patient, I understand your frustration and apologize. I wish I could have given everyone a lot more than an autoresponse email, but this project proved much too big for one person, her pug and a Nikon. Please remember this was a massive year-long project, not a private photoshoot. My #1 priority was to make each pug's 15 minutes with Nikon as awesome as possible and create a book that *all* 1000 pugs will be proud of. Unfortunately this meant a lot of stuff that should have happened never did (or just hasn't yet). For that, I'm truly sorry.
I'll cover all the gory details of this past year in the project recap, so let's stick with the good news for now. You all became 1 of 1000 to celebrate these crazy little dogs we all love so much. It's finally time to start celebrating!
THE AWESOME NEWS
Your pictures are done. Finally. DONE. Yes, I know it took forever. Trust me. I know. I've learned when you multiply even the simplest one minute task x1000, it takes DAYS to get anything done.
Seriously. I used a calculator. 1000 minutes = 16 1/2 hours
Start multiplying by more realistic numbers and days become months... and months... and months.
I'll spare you the actual math :)
GALLERY DETAILSI'm so happy the images are finished, I didn't want to wait any longer to share the good news. With 3 images per pug, it takes a day to get each city's gallery up and running. Galleries will open in the order the pictures were taken.

You'll receive an email when the gallery for your city is open. A link to the gallery will also be posted in the YOUR IMAGES section on each city's page at www.pugtour.com. From the gallery, you'll be able to download your pug's images. Detailed instructions explain exactly what to do.

While you're waiting for your gallery to open, you can catch up on all the good, bad and ugly stuff from the past year. Look for it tomorrow under 'Project Recap' on 1000pugs.com.
On Valentines Day, we'll start spreading the pug love on facebook. A new pug will be featured each day, so keep an eye out for familiar cuteness. (hint: pugs will appear in random order, so you might see a familiar face before your city's gallery opens).

I've also sat by mostly silent for a few days, but I have to call out one person. Her name is Jane Kemp. She is on Facebook with this name and on Twitter as @JaniePug. She has been causing A LOT of trouble for Amanda and is seeking out other people from the project on a mission to sue Amanda.

Like I said, I've been quiet about this for some time, but this woman isn't backing down. I tweeted Senator Boxer myself and told her there were no exact dates in the contract and the gallery pictures have release dates. I don't think Jane has any kind of case to bring but I do want to help shut her down none the less.
She also left mostly anonymous comments on The Daily Puglet, but she did finally admit to one.

Kelly Garcia Kelly Garcia you rascal your talking about me again! If you keep talking about me people are going to think you have a crush on me! Kelly I admire your passion! I'm going to miss our dust ups! I normally don't read the comments just the blog. If ever you want to call someone.a hateful dishonest looser I'm on Facebook. I think I met my match. Then today, I saw this comment from another reader:
Anonymous, the vile spewing haters are busy on Facebook, Pugspot, and every other Pug forum, attempting to get people to join in their vendetta. Even after the updates, recap, and communication they are still trying to move forward with some legal action. It makes me sick. I am pondering taking a hiatus from the Internet to escape all the negativity. It is everywhere I go!
So I am to believe that she is still stirring things up, looking for people to join her "cause". If you know her or how to reach her, let her know that she can be countered sued on slander and defamation of character. She can also be sued for misrepresentation of a contractual agreement. No *specific* dates were given at any time by Amanda for the release of the photos. She did specify that an email would be sent out when they were ready, and she fullfilled that part of her agreement.
Some are claiming the rescues didn't receive their money. Amanda already discussed this issue too.
I'm not one to sink to someone else level, but this woman needs to be shown she isn't the only one who can run her mouth. In my opinion, to ignore her is to let her get away with it.
I'm done sitting by silently while another person=Amanda gets bullied.
