Progress

Today we are seeing some progress!!! It has been a bumpy week, but Praise God today is looking a tad smoother. The nights are long in a hospital and the days are busy in rehab, but I can tell today he is getting stronger and his smile is even bigger. Thanks for your continued prayers! God is an on time God.

Answered Prayers

Just a quick update on my Dad.

First, thank you all for your prayers. It has been a whirlwind week. Started out in ICU, then to Progressive Care, then to Rehab all in one week's time. God heard our prayers and answered quickly. Dad has started Rehab this morning already. They don't mess around here. I know he will be completely worn out by the time I get there this evening. My sister and I are taking turns relieving my mom so she won't get completely worn out. So thankful that I am on Winter Break this week so I won't have to take off work to help out. I spent most of my Christmas break helping take care of my Dad. It is all worth it though!

My Navy Seal Dad is such an inspiration. Even through the toughest times he always has a smile on his face and he never fails to Praise the Lord. His brain injuries and strokes have left him with little means of communication, but he comes across loud and clear that he has the JOY OF THE LORD!!!
He is such a miracle!

Prayers

Would appreciate prayers for my Dad. It is a long story that I don't have time to write about right now. Need specific prayers for God's will to be done in my Dad's body. Whether it be healing him on earth or healing him in heaven. He is ready to go if that be God's will. His heart is full of blood clots. They don't believe he would survive open heart surgery.

Also, a prayer for my sweet Mama who has been a caretaker for a LOOOONG time! God has given her so much grace and our family is so thankful for that! She is 80 years old and doesn't take a pill of any kind. She is the picture of health. She is beautiful inside and out. God has truly kept his hand on her all these years.

Going to post a picture I took of my Dad a couple of Sundays ago. It will give you a face to put to the prayers.

New Season

I knew I named this blog New Day New Season for a good reason! These past few months have been a very new season. I guess blogging hasn't factored into it. I can't seem to have the time or energy to post as of late. I love blogging, I miss blogging, I miss my dear bloggy friends who I have followed and made friends with...the list goes on and on, but my time and heart is elsewhere for now. I am putting this blog to rest, but not going to delete it. I am hoping that in the near future that a New Day and New Season will come back around so I can return to Bloggyland!!!

I love and miss you all. Please keep me and my family in your prayers during this season.

Lantana is growing like crazy. The drier it is outside the thicker and brighter it gets! Amazing!!!

Had a great time at Canton a couple of weeks ago. The weather was beautiful.
 Got a little Christmas shopping done and loved time away with friends and family.
Lil Man and the Hubs enjoyed every minute of it too.

Chewie is a MESS!!! He has stolen our hearts.
 He is full of energy and wants LOTS of attention.
He has definetly filled a void in our hearts.

Surviving beginning of school....barely.

Was the "Teacher Feature" the first week of school. Surprised to see that on the board the first day. Our counselor thought it important for our students to get to know their teachers a little better.
They are loving it!

Somebody turned 4!

Spent a week here and yes that is smoke in the background.
Been a hot scary summer. Fires all around us!

Hubby has been spoiling me more than usual this month....
