Easter!

We had a weekend filled with Easter activities.  I took the two youngest kids to an Easter egg hunt on base.  It was held at the baseball fields divided by ages.  There were eggs and kids everywhere. After Tristan's egg hunt I couldn't find him for 30 minutes till most of the people cleared out.  He was so scared and relieved to find me.  I wasn't to worried since we were on base and there is that extra level of security and SP's helping look for him.

Later that day we went to Murray to have a Easter party with Grandma Hardy.  We had dinner and a Easter Egg hunt.  Grandma hid eggs with 2 dollar bills inside.  They all thought that was cool.

Mariah came to hunt eggs once she heard there was money available!

Easter Egg relay races sponsored by Carrie Elizabeth....and the eggs were raw.  It was quite the fun.  The kids came up with several ways to try and carry the eggs on a spoon.

Post egg relay relaxation.

On Sunday after noon we had our typical Easter celebration...
First we always talk about the reason for Easter...the resurection of the Savior.  Then we hid Easter Baskets. They each have to find their basket that has their prizes in them.  After we hid the eggs filled with candy.
This year Mariah hid the Easter eggs in the front yard for us.  It is so nice to have someone else do it.

We had to keep all the Easter eggs and baskets up high since Roxy likes to eat all of the treats.  And then we have chocolate dog barf on the floor.  As you can see she was caught trying to sneak treats!

Syracuse High School Prom

At the last minute Mariah was asked to go to the Prom by Hyrum Cook...It was so neat that these group of kids helped my daughter's dreams come true of going to Prom.  They helped Hyrum plan the date and invited them to be part of their group.  They went go cart riding in the after noon and then out to dinner at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building that night.  The Syracuse High Jr Prom was held at the Utah State Capital.  What a fun night for Mariah.  She loved her corsage and going on her first "real" date.  Hyrum didn't really want to have anymore "pictures" taken.

Las Vegas

We went to Las Vegas late Sunday night to stay for a few days.  We had to listen to a time share presentation but then our accommodation's were free in a 2 room condo.  The kids stayed in the room while we went and they were fighting thus not having a great morning.  After the presentation, they were finally able to go swimming.  The kids were very anxious to try out the 5 pools at the hotel.  We decided to go see the strip after swimming.  Our kids hated it!  They liked small parts of it like the dolphins and the street entertainers.

After watching the dolphins we went and checked out the white tigers and lions.

Since the Vegas Strip wasn't a great hit we decided to go to the Hoover Dam for a "dam" tour on Tuesday....after we were done we went and had a lovely dinner with Lori Johnson and her girls.
