Hello everyone!
What's your New Year's resolution? I can't decide what mine will be yet. Rignt now I can only focus in what's for dinner tonight. So far, I've tried sweet pea, sweet potato, carrot and banana baby food. But to celebrate tonight, I expect something special like turkey, a good salad, or even champagne.
Wanna share, little sister?
I hope you all have a great 2011!
Love,
Coco and the human family

Reading Tutor
Hi friends!
I must apologize today for being a little behind reading blogs. I have been a busy teaching baby sister how to read. Let me tell you, those baby books are very boring!
I really hope you and your families are doing good. I promise to catch up in the next week.
Hugs for all,
Coco

It is that time of the year again!
Good morning/afternoon friends!
We are getting ready for our Christmas card photoshoot! We already have a bunch of addresses but some of our friends have moved, so please send us a message with your new address (or if we don't have your address at all) to pugnetwork at g mail dot com.
Mom will have a lot of fun trying to get us both to pose. And I really hope there's some snow involved this year!

Happy thanksgiving!
Hello friends,
Here we are, my baby sister and I, waiting in line to get our little plate of thanksgiving dinner.
Yeah, I wish.
We've spent the day at home. Baby sister got sick with a stomach flu in the morning. Mom stayed in bed most of the day with her. Daddy asked mom if she had given me my daily pill in the afternoon because I was acting weird and he thought I was getting sick (addison's disease). Then, at night, both mom and dad started feeling sick as well... we are all doing better as I write this, thankfully.
I hope you all had a great thanksgiving. We are very thankful for our wonderful friends and family, and for so many other great things in our life... but still, we could use a little help in the health department. Just saying...

It's been a while...
Hello, friends. We never thought about how busy we would be once mom got back to work after maternity leave. Add a one hour commute, nine hours at work, nursing baby, dropping baby off to daycare, one hour commute back home, mom getting sick every other week, baby getting sick in between, daddy working harder and longer hours... I won't lie to you. It's been hard - for them. I spend my time at home either sleeping or chewing a bone under the cool a/c.
Mom feels she is neglecting everybody, including herself and also her job, because although she is supposed to be there full time, she has missed more days and hours in one month than she's done in the whole seven years she's been working there. Although we would love her to be a stay at home mom, she is terribly scared of quitting her job for many many reasons so she will try to have a talk with the bosses about going part time. Not easy, considering that she runs the office. Wish her luck.
In the meantime, I leave you with a few pictures from the camera phone. Yes, we don't even have time to turn the computer on. :o(
PS: Betty, we miss you terribly.

Once upon a time...
Hey Jax, I hear there's going to be a surprise party for us out there. Pretend that you know nothing!
A campsite? Cool! How many nights are we sleeping here? Dad, you are installing an air conditioning unit for me here, aren't you?
Sarah, I get it. You're hungry. Here's your party favor - there's a treat inside.

A doubly special day
Hello friends
I've missed you! Today is a very special day for two reasons:
First, I turn five today!
Second, my blogiversary is today!
I don't remember well, but mom thinks it is our second year blogging which sounds like too little time considering that it feels like I've known you all for much longer. To check the exact year mom would have to open the internet browser on the phone and we are running out of battery and all this brought up my often asked question:
"When will we have internet connection at home, mother?"
"When we save enough money to buy a house, then we can add bills to our regular expenses".
Ugh, too much serious conversation; it is time to celebrate! Would you like to know what I got as a present? A baby sister to play with! Although she is not ready to play yet... but mom has noticed that whenever I am being mischievious, if she makes a noise or sneezes, I stop right away and sit. Oh, I also got a life jacket for our pug meetups at the pool. And I will have a birthday party this weekend, along with my friend Jaxson!
Have a nice weekend friends!

Invasion!
Good morning friends,
I am stuck at home with my furry cousin Lu the schnauzer while the rest of the family is out and about doing fun things. My mom's sister and family arrived from Canada for a short visit to meet my baby sister and they promised to include a couple of dog friendly activities in their busy - a.k.a. fun - schedule. Mom said that it is still too hot for me outside so I better not complain much.
Have a nice week everyone!

Feeling better! (Not me but daddy)
Good morning friends,
I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Prayers worked - you are the best!
We had a rough time this past couple of days with daddy not eating, high fevers and so much pain he could barely move. He already did all the tests necessary to start the new medicine - pssst Tweedles! The one you mentioned in your comment!
We are waiting for his doctor to come back to town and hopefully daddy will follow his instructions this time. Daddy is stubborn; he knows his illness doesn't have a cure, he doesn't like to take medicines because of the side effects, he doesn't want to go to the hospital when he should. All this drives us crazy!
Mommy and I were very happy to see daddy get out of bed yesterday and cuddle with little sister. He even apologized with me for ignoring me the day before. I knew he was sick, I could sniff it!

A little prayer
Hello friends
We are way behind reading blogs but we really hope all of you are doing well. I not only have little time now, helping with my baby sister's care, but I am also sad and worried because of daddy's health. He's been dealing with Crohn's disease for more than 20 years medication-free by personal choice, and he did very well. This year's checkup test came up really bad so he started medications and after months under treatment things are getting much worst. He has painful episodes often, inflammation is spreading to other vital organs, has lost a lot of weight, and the next medication to be used is very strong, will weaken his immune system dramatically and has bad - even deadly - possible side effects. Daddy refused to take this new medicine but he is changing his mind because he feels too sick. Now, this all comes to our life soon after my parents had started a new life together and decided to have a baby. They have been saving big time to buy a home sometime soon. They don't know what to do now; what the future will bring them. Daddy keeps saying what if this, what if that.
So all I am asking here is for a little prayer for his health, and for him to take the best decision regarding his care. Thank you with all my heart.
Coco

Today's menu
I like to eat all sorts of fruits and vegetables. Sleepy Strawberry? Thank you very much, but no. I'll pass that one.

Waiting in line...
To get fed. At home we believe that we are all equal. It doesn't matter that I am a big boy: what baby gets, pug gets. So as soon as my little sister finishes feeding I get my share of green beans. Weird thing, that green beans fit in the bottle, right?

What stain?
According to my role of big brother, I have to be close to my sister while she is sleeping. I have a few pictures to proof what a great job I am doing, but when I showed them to my mother, she asked:
"Coco, what are those stains in the carpet?"
"You are missing the big picture. I am guarding my sister, you see. I need more treats: I am exhausted and weak"
"Are you pooping near your sister?!"
"Mother! The black stains near the crib are markers!"
"And the brown one near the bed?"
"Oh, I couldn't find toilet paper in the backyard. Sorry."

Little monster
Hello friendzzz
I hope you remember uzzz... I never thought this baby sitting situation would be so tiring for us all. I not only guard my new sister, but I am trying to educate her as well. You see, she's got a little something from mom and me and my big sister (mommy's oldest stepdaughter). She got all her looks from daddy and apparently nothing visible yet from my other sister (mommy's youngest stepdaughter).
Anyway, if you don't see any resemblance with me, don't you worry. She carries my genes deep inside. As deep as her tummy! Yes, she is hungry all the time. But this tiny puppy-human dares to attack mom! She needs to learn manners so bad. I would never go further than attacking the fridge, or the food itself. But mom?

Our first walk together
Hello friends!
Exhausted Coco here to inform you that I got a new job that involves sleepless nights and emergency assessment at the call of a very pitchy alarm - said emergency calls mostly consisting of potty duty and emtpy stomach of my brand new little sister.
Even though I carry most of the responsibility here being alert 24/7, my mother, father and grandma seem to be exhausted as well, specially my lazy mother. How can she be so tired if what she mostly does is feed the baby for hours and hours comfortably sitting in bed? Some people have the job easy, let me tell you.
So today, I finally got a little reward. We went on our first walk with the brand new sister. I tripped a couple of times with her puggy buggy - which is almost the same tone of green as my own puggy buggy, by the way. I really hope she develops more personality in the future. And I hope I learn to walk around her buggy soon!
