Shelby was blessed this past Sunday, February 6th. First, let me say the day was absolutely beautiful, 70 degrees in February. I'll take it!
Shelby's dress was absolutely beautiful. (Thank you so much mom, she looked angelic in it!). On Saturday night I decided she needed a bright red flower to wear, and impressed myself with the beauty I came up with- not hard to make at all, plus it was SUPER inexpensive
We were so lucky to have so many people come and join us for Shelby's special day. My mom flew in from OR, Brad's brothers and sisters joined us from Antelope, the Eckles came from Folsom, and the Huffakers from Sparks. We also had several people from our ward join in the blessing circle (Jeff Weight, Tom Rossberg, Rich Persson- I'm writing these down now for posterity's sake!)
Brad gave a beautiful blessing with great advice and counsel. Shelby performed perfectly up there, not a peep from her, and then she looked as beautiful as ever when Brad held her up for all to see. In fact, she got a few "ahhhs" from members of the congregation. So, in a nut shell her blessing was picture perfect

In other news, Brad is still rocking it with the CHP. He loves his job and his partner (aka his Work wife!). The kids are doing great. Just chugging along at school. Rylie is reading like a champ, Andrew's imagination is ever so wild, and Brinley has found a new love of Selena Gomez (I cant wait for her birthday- we have an awesome surprise for her!) Luke is still as funny as ever- seriously the boy puts me in stitches every day. Not much is new with me. Five kids keeps me pretty busy with just day to day household stuff. When I get a chance I've been working on a few sewing adventures my mom and I have conjured up. I also was recently called as the Enrichment Counselor in the Relief Society Presidency- its been really fun coming up with a bunch of different activities.
So there you have it!
