Christmas Morning 2009

Merry Christmas Everyone !
It was a ruff and tumble, just keep your feet moving to keep up kind of Christmas for us but we enjoyed it all.
We started the festival week off with a pre-Christmas Eve party for Brandon's work and there were a lot of friendly faces.
Next we headed into the Eve itself with some last minute shopping and poem writing to be done. By dinner the poems for the evening were done, dinner was smelling fantastic, and the last of the gifts were under the tree.
That evening we headed over to the Luke residence to bunker down for the night so that we could be there first thing when santa came. All of the gifts were loved and enjoyed! Thank you everyone.
After a wonderful bout of gift giving, food, games, and a much needed nap we headed to Spokane to catch up with my mom's family for a much loved white elepant party. I unfortunately picked the infamous chia head that has been part of the game ever since my dad brout it in '96. It was so good to see everyone again. It has been too long. Sean and Jenny even made the trip from Bellingham so we have no room to complain.
We stayed for the weekend and were treated to a movie by my dad. Yay, for Avatar. It was spectacular. When we got out Brandon asked why I was down and I told him it was because our world was so colorless and plain after that visual feast.
When we got back to Selah we packed and left first thing Monday for the Oregon Coast to be with Brandon's family again. It was a week of bonding, great food and fun. Thank you so much Steve and Melody-Ann. Those pictures are in the previous post.
Now we're home and I am having a blast posting and re-living it all over again, except I am doing it a little slower this time. : 0)
Cam is becoming more and more of a comedian every day.
Cade looks so much like Cameron did when he laughs.

Brandon made me a beautiful card with the promise of photographic memories of me and my boys. I love this man!

I painted these for the boys. It was fun and they turned out well!

Uncle Nathan makes for a great sipping lounge apparently.

Cade with his stuffed puppy.

Cam and his Aunt Emily. Tres Chic!

When Travis was a baby he was given a Disney phone that rings on its own and when answered one of the disney crew would talk. It was funny because on the video he just had to answer it until he finally resorted to carrying the phone around with him so he could go about his business and have the phone with him to answer when they called. Santa gave the phone to Grandma and Grandpa Luke this Christmas and Cam was enticed to pick it up as well, as shown. :0) But Cam was a bit less patient and perhaps a little cleverer. When he was tired of playing secretary he just left it off the hook. We all got a hoot out of the whole scene.

Oregon Coast Trip 2009

Luke Christmas Family Vacation
Depoe Bay, OR
January 2010
Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, Newport OR

The view from our room in Depoe Bay. When the rain came it was awesome to camp out in the living room and watch the waves come in.

Cam grabbed his bottle and snuggled in with Uncle Travis all on his own. It was incredibly cute!

Agate Beach, Newport OR

It rained for 4 days and so we braved the weather to play on the beach. Cam was pretty happy to go trekking but Cade wasn't quite as happy a camper, as he had to stay tucked in the warmth of dad's coat. That's what you get when you go to the Oregon Coast in January, so no complaining here. Thank you for grabbing the camera honey!

Maternity Portraits Cade

While we were at Mt. Ranier, Brandon and I wanted to try taking some nature/water pictures to add to our Luke Photography portfolio and because I wanted maternity portraits this time round that I could be proud of. Anyway these pictures are of me and Cade, baby # 2.

Here is a small tribute to cam's first year of life leading up to his 1st birthday!
