Frog Hunter

Sometimes there are no words....

Okay, I lied.  There are some words.
1. I LOVE this crazy girl.
2. I LOVE that she is wearing her life jacket.
3. I LOVE how grungy she looks.  She was having SO much fun and sometimes you gotta just throw hygiene to the wind and let your kids experience life.

#7!

Our sweet, happy, bubbly, talkative Addison turned 7 in June.  We kept the party very low key, but she was really lucky because Grandma and Grandpa Sharp came to visit.

Store bought cake.  Yes, this is what happens when your mom just had a baby.
So excited to open her presents!

Seeing her bike for the first time.

Trying it out.

The boat

This Spring John found the deal of a century on a boat.  After checking it out with a friend and convincing me of why we should get a boat (and yes, I get that I can see the water from my front porch, I'm just not a boat person!) he took the plunge and brought home the Sea Ray.  In true Sharp fashion the boat needs some TLC (hey, we are die hard DIYers).   After a scrub and some tweaking of the motor it was good to go.  I do not regret buying this beauty and almost all of the kids LOVE it.  Plus it was cheap and surprisingly didn't need any major repairs (just cosmetic, which we are still working on).

Fearless Captain and the mostly fearless passengers.  Ella is deathly afraid of the boat.

 WIPEOUT!

These pictures are always good for a laugh

The beautiful Intracoastal Waterway

Happy to have her feet on land!

Take me out to the ball game

Both Hannah and Jake played ball this Spring. John and I absolutely LOVE watching them play. They had a good season and both proved to be valuable players on their teams. We all agree that baseball and softball may be the sport of choice in our family, we just really enjoyed it (playing and watching).
Jake was able to participate on the All Star team. He was chosen out of 60+ boys to be on that team. He was beyond excited. Their All Star team didn't win but it was great opportunity for Jake to play at a very competitive level (which he enjoyed).
Hannah was also asked to be on the Softball All Star team. Unfortunately she was going to be in Europe and had to decline. She was very very disappointed but Europe trumped Softball.
Both kids are gearing up to play Fall ball in a neighboring town and Hannah is also trying out for the Middle School Softball team...wish her luck!

Tessa Jane

Sweet little Tessa Jane was born June 5 at 1:01pm. She was our smallest baby at 7 pounds 8 oz. Her head was only 12 3/4 inches...smallest by 1.5 inches! We are SO thrilled to have her here and I am SO glad to be done with pregnancy (morning sickness for 5 months is NOT fun).

Brand new. I love this picture. This was right after she was born.

Welcome, Baby Tessa. You think she is going to be spoiled?! You bet!

All clean after her first bath. She screamed through the whole thing, until the nurse started massaging her head...she loved that and still does.

On the way home from the hospital. She is swimming in her car seat.

Sweet baby girl. We are so in love with you.

Memorial Day

We had a neighborhood picnic complete with a kids parade. The little girls were SOOOO excited to decorate their bikes. In her prayers at night, Ella would pray that "Her and Addy can do good at the Memorial Day parade." They were so cute!

Back to School

Hannah started 7th grade at a new school this year. She lucked out and was able to get into the Magnet school. There were 58 students applying for 8 spots and her name was drawn. We are SO very excited. This new school is about 30 minutes away, but it is just down the street from John's work. So far we are pleased with how it's working out (even if it means a little more driving).

Jake started 4th grade and loves it! He loves school and is especially excited for his science teacher (he wants to be a Scientist when he grows up). This Science teacher is wonderful and has been involved in NASA. She is very hands on and loves teaching. We are VERY grateful that Jake is in her class.

Addy started 1st grade and so far has only got in trouble a few times (for taking of course!). She still HATES waking up in the morning (the bus comes at 7:15 so we are up at 6:30) and this sometimes poses a problem. She likes to pick out her "fashionable" outfits and loves to read and write.

Ella...poor youngest in the family. She is left at home all day with me. When asked who her teacher is, she answers, "Mommy is my teacher and I go to Ella's Little Flower Garden Preschool." She chose the name of her preschool. It's been fun having her home with me and she is quick to remind me that next year I will be all alone and I won't have my helper to help with cleaning the house.
