Christmas Day 2014

Santa came to our house and even ate some of the yummy donuts and milk that we had left.

Our Christmas!

Karlee said 'Goodbye' to our elf Cocoa and when she got up Christmas morning Cocoa had left her a note and a little treat. Thanks Cocoa - we'll miss you this year.

Karlee gave her dad a framed picture of the two of them with Spiderman. Karlee was really excited that he gets to take it to work with him and have in his office.

We had a great Christmas and it was really such much fun to see Karlee so excited.

Rob got a Houston Texans Beanie!

Heather got boots!

Karlee with all her Christmas - Thanks Santa for making this year such a fun one with lots of Awesome stuff!

A little later in the day Karlee wasn't feeling well and came down with the Flu! Poor Girl.

Christmas Eve WOK and Family

We had Christmas Eve with the Westons and we did wok. They usually do wok on New Year's Eve but this year Rob really wanted to change things up. So we enjoyed chicken, shrimp, steak, fried rice, veggies, and yummy egg rolls.

While we cooked we played with all the kids.

Ryley and Me!
After dinner Laurel gave us all a copy of the Christmas storybook: and a Candlestick. We sat around the dinner table and read the story. Such a sweet story that reminds us of our Saviors Love.

Before we left for the night it was time for Karlee to open one present from mom and dad. Christmas PJ's. Karlee was 'super' excited when she saw her new pajamas. This girl really couldn't be more like her dad.

We got home and it was time to get ready for Santa to come. After a couple of Christmas stories read by mom and dad it was time to go out and sprinkle some Grinch Dust.

Good Night  & Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Eve 'Day' at the Aquarium

When we got to the Aquarium we saw "Shark Claus" and so we picture with him. Karlee wouldn't do it without me. Merry Christmas!!!

We love the Aquarium and always have so much fun. We have our favorites: Penguins, Rope Bridge, Otters, and the gift shop.

As we were leaving Karlee asked for the camera so she could take some pictures. haha. This girl took lots of pictures and here are a couple of them. She makes me smile!!!

Then as we were leaving we saw Rob's work truck so we called him up and he came out to say hi.

Christmas Class Party - Reindeer Games

I put my Room Mom hat on and planned what I think turned out to be a fun party for Karlee's class. Okay so actually I got lots of great ideas from Monica's party planning stash. So many fun games.

Our party had relay races, reindeer making crafts, donuts and milk. Perfect equation for a successful party.

Now school is out and we can now have a fun relaxing couple of weeks off to play!!!

Gardner Village Elves (Christmas Tradition)

We love our trip to Gardner Village to visit all of the elves. They always have a few new elves and new things to see. Karlee got her Scavenger hunt paper ready and she was off.

Some of the elves we found were doing some crazy fun stuff.

Elf hanging Mistletoe

Elf selling Hot Cocoa

Elves playing music

Elves giving a shave.

Elf taking a picture of Rob!

Elf trying to hang the Star on top of the Christmas tree

Karlee found all Santa's Elves on her scavenger list. Yay!!!

Grinch Day at 1st grade

Karlee got to have a Grinch day at school and they were invited to do their hair like CindyLouWho or wear green like the Grinch. Karlee was super excited and really wanted to have her haird done like CindyLouWho. So that's just what we did.

After school she came with hair still in-tack and also brought home some Grinch Dust that she got to make at school.

Grinch Dust
Don't let the Grinch steal your Christmas!
Be sure you stay on guard.
Before you go to sleep on Christmas Eve,
Pour this Grinch Dust in your yard!
The Grinch will see the magic dust
And know you've taken care
Protecting your home and your family
To keep Christmas Joy in the air!

Festival of Trees

This was our first experience attending the Festival of Trees. We usually hear about it too late or we already have plans. So this year we cleared our calendar to start off all the Christmas traditions this weekend. There were so many beautifully decorated trees.

Lots of Superhero trees, which both Karlee and Rob LOVED!!!

We also saw some BYU and UTAH spirited trees.

Karlee had a few extra favorites:

Candyland Tree

Disney Princess Tree

While at the Tree Festival there was a area designated for Gingerbread houses and these houses were pretty amazing. We took a picture of some of our favorites.

Salt Lake City Temple

Gingerbread Nativity

Frosty made of noodles and lots of other goodness.

Griswald's Family Christmas Vacation

Santa's Toyland Express

Despicable Me
Before we left we had a little Photo Fun:
