As flowers turn to seed, the papery skirt maintains its attraction, making
astrantias one of the most valuable of all herbaceous perennials.
A flush of blush ALMOST as ubiquitous as the phlox here are
astrantias. They love the soil here, heavy and fertile, and reward us with lots of flowers.
But this week, in fact for the whole month and on through July, it is
