SHARP Malaysia Fuses Japanese Aesthetics and Innovation to Inspire a Mighty Living Experience

SHARP’s innovations cover a wide range of home appliances, from immersive entertainment systems to smart solutions for comfort, wellness and productivity.


In entertainment, SHARP proudly unveils its all-new AQUOS H Series TVs, ranging from 50 to 98 inches — the latter being the largest AQUOS TV currently available in Malaysia, offering an unprecedented visual experience. The H Series comprises four lineups: AQUOS XLED, TRU, QLED, and 4K, catering to a wide spectrum of viewing preferences. For home appliances, SHARP debuts the new Avance French-Door Refrigerator in two elegant colours – Tokyo Black and Fuji White – a stylish contrast inspired by Japanese minimalism. SHARP has enlisted its brand ambassadors — Malaysia’s top women’s badminton doubles duo, Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah — for this campaign to represent the theme, “Taiketsu: The Showdown”, symbolising the dynamic interplay between black and white, fashion and function.

This refrigerator series offers spacious 480L and 750L capacities. Together with SHARP’s advanced freshness technology and sleek, modern design, they provide an ideal food storage solution for various household styles.


Unlike the common “3:7 freezer-to-fridge” ratio, the Mega Freezer adopts a “4:6 design,” providing more freezer space.


 This aligns with the bulk-purchase habits of Malaysian families, solving the issue of limited freezer capacity while offering easier organization and storage.


The showcase also featured SHARP’s newly launched top-load inverter washing machine series, designed to meet modern demands for energy-efficient laundry care. New front-load models were also introduced, catering to younger users’ preferences for stylish design and gentle fabric care. Continuing the 2024 “My Second Washer” concept, the exhibition features three mini washers and tub-less models. They are perfect for washing underwear, sportswear, and baby clothes, emphasising hygiene and separation in laundry routines.

SHARP also showcased air purifiers with dehumidifying functions, especially designed for Malaysia’s humid climate. Featuring Plasmacluster ion technology, these purifiers clean the air, suppress bacteria and viruses, and maintain optimal indoor humidity — creating a fresher and healthier home environment. Additionally, SHARP introduced a two-in-one air conditioner with Plasmacluster technology that combines cooling and air purification functions for all-around indoor air protection.

Sensodyne Tackles Widespread Tooth Sensitivity in Malaysia with Fresh Mint Launch

A new survey* conducted by Haleon, a global leader in consumer health, reveals a significant public health concern in Malaysia: tooth sensitivity. The survey of 248 Malaysians showed that a staggering 69% experience regular tooth sensitivity, with 61.8% enduring the discomfort rather than seeking dental treatment. The survey, conducted among the 18-40 age-group, showed that younger generations are highly affected by this issue. This common condition disrupts the everyday habits of most Malaysians, with cold foods (58.5%) being the leading cause of sensitivity, followed by sweets and hot drinks, based on the survey. This initiative is to create awareness about driver fatigue and promote road safety by encouraging travellers to take regular breaks, remain vigilant, and recharge for a safer journey home during the festive period.
 
From January to October 2024, Malaysia recorded 532,125 road accidents with 5,364 fatalities—underscoring the urgent need for intervention. 

One significant yet often overlooked risk is driver fatigue, which can lead to lapses in attention and impaired reaction times. Research shows that prolonged wakefulness affects cognitive function and decision-making, with sleep deprivation having effects similar to alcohol intoxication. 

Now in its third year, this campaign amplifies the critical need for awareness, rest, and vigilance, especially during high-traffic periods like Raya Aidilfitri.

Taking a Break to Improve Alertness and Recharge Energy

Microsleep episodes—brief, involuntary lapses in attention—can occur within seconds, significantly increasing the likelihood of road crashes and injury severity.  Studies have shown that microsleep-related crashes frequently occur on high-speed roads, with 55% involving drivers aged 25 and below.

 Through this campaign, MIROS aims to bridge the gap between research and public awareness by emphasising the importance of early detection of fatigue, regular rest breaks, and responsible driving habits. A short break, simple exercises and refreshments can make the difference between a safe journey and a tragic crash. Together with PLUS and BRAND’S, we encourage all road users to stay alert and prioritise safety, especially during the high-traffic Raya season."

The Kulit Wayang Cultural Festival 2025 and Malika Music Festival 2025

The Kulit Wayang Cultural Festival 2025 and its component event, the Malika Music Festival 2025 were officially announced at a press conference held at the classy Grotto Hall @ Confetti KL in Mines 2. 


The two-day Kulit Wayang Cultural Festival which takes place at The Landing @ KL Base in Sungai Besi on 12th & 13th April 2025 seamlessly integrates a movie launch & trailer premiere, a 3km celebrity fun run, a vibrant cultural festival and the Malika Music Festival (which will be held on 12th April 2025), as part of a unique promotional campaign for the upcoming scream flick “Kulit Wayang”. 


As co-producers of "Kulit Wayang and organisers of the festivals, EMT Ventures Sdn Bhd understands that the film's potential to resonate deeply with Malaysian audiences.

This is a first-ever fun run with the stars of "Kulit Wayang ". People can choose a 3km fun run or a longer race. It’s a chance to have fun, get fit, and meet the artists. This unique event combines fitness, entertainment, and community engagement. 

“Kulit Wayang " is a Malaysian horror mystery (rated PG13) about Wayang Kulit, the Kelantan tradition that was banned for 28 years. It will be officially launched in 50+ over cinemas in Malaysia on 1st May 2025, as well as in Singapore and Brunei. 

The film is supported by FINAS (Perbadanan Kemajuan Filem Nasional Malaysia) and MOTAC (Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture). It is directed by Dain Said, well-known director of Dukun, Bunohan, Harum Malam, Interchange. 


The main cast of the movie will include Fattah Amin and Pekin Ibrahim, and Indonesian actresses Reynavenzka Retno Ayu and Jennaira Kamaratih Jiwa. 

Fattah Amin is a top A-line actor in Malaysia with a Facebook following of 80,000, 3.7 million on Instagram and 906,000 on TikTok. He has won numerous awards, including Pelakon TV Lelaki Popular" at the 31st ABPBH (Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian), and "Pelakon Baharu Paling Popular (Lelaki)" award in 2016. 


Pekin Ibrahim has 229,000 followers on Facebook, 454,000 on Instagram and 295,000 subscribers on YouTube.  He is known for his roles in critically acclaimed films like Bunohan (2012) Hantu Kak Limah Balik Rumah (2010) Mat Moto: Kami Mat Moto Bukan Mat Rempit (2016), for which he won Best Actor at the Malaysia Film Festival. He has also received numerous award nominations, including Best Actor at the 24th FFM (2012) and the 28th FFM (2016) in various categories. 

Indonesian actress Reynavenzka Retno Ayu Deyandra Wayang started acting from 2010. her career highlights includes films such as Taring, Bahwa Cinta Itu Ada,Toilet 105, Misteri Hantu Selular, Brokenhearts, Pulau Hantu, Panda and web series that include Kalis as well the sinetron Firasat. 

Junior Indonesian actress Jennaira Kamaratih Jiwa has starred in Junior Theater Festival Jakarta, Open Bo Lagi 2 webseries. 

Sypnosis of Kulit Wayang :-

During 1980s, in a Malaysian seaside village, a heartbroken puppet master searches for answers after his daughter's death. A visiting mother and daughter from Indonesia uncover the village's hidden secrets when a special puppet comes to life. This leads to a thrilling adventure filled with mystery and cultural traditions. 


The Kulit Wayang Cultural Festival and Malika Music Festival will be happening inside The Hangar Stage, that will feature a stage with a 40ft LED screen. Activities throughout the 2 days will include traditional music performances such as Gamelan and Dikir Barat, and traditional dance performances such as Inang and Zapin. 

There will also be family friendly interactive workshops including batik painting or wau making, allowing attendees to participate in traditional crafts while learning about their cultural significance. 

Families can also enjoy traditional games such as Congkak, Batu Seremban and Gasing. There will also be Wayang Kulit performance (Shadow Play) featuring our movie actors Fattah Amin & Pekin Ibrahim. 

More than 100 vendors are expected to showcase their wares during the festival. There will also be food stalls featuring popular Malay dishes such as Nasi Lemak, Satay, Rendang and more. 

The festival will also include drawing and art contests - open category for primary and secondary school students with the help of teachers from Malaysia Education Department (Jabatan Pendidikan Malaysia). 

The fun run expects a crowd of up to 13,000 runners, including up to 5,000 fun runners from from all age groups from KL & Selangor. 

Kulit Wayang Cultural Run and Festival is more than just an event; it’s a unique blend of cultural celebration, physical activity, and film promotion. It’s a chance to embrace a vibrant community spirit, celebrate Malaysian heritage, while awaiting the the release of "Kulit Wayang" , a movie that promises to captivate audiences.

MSB GLOBAL GROUP BERHAD UNVEILS PROSPECTUS TO RAISE RM26.60 MILLION FROM ACE MARKET LISTING

MSB Global Group Berhad ("MSB Global" or the "Group"),a leading player in Malaysia's aftermarket automotive parts and component industry, has announced the launch of its prospectus for the Initial Public Offering (“IPO”) in conjunction with its listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”). This marks a significant milestone in the Company’s corporate journey, reinforcing its commitment to advancing Malaysia’s aftermarket automotive parts and components industry. 


MSB Global is the exclusive distributor of GSP-branded automotive parts and components in Malaysia, supplying a comprehensive range of high-quality aftermarket products. These include driveshafts, wheel hub assemblies, suspension parts, steering racks, and more, ensuring durability and reliability for customers. 


At the same time, the Group has expanded its footprint in the automotive lubricants and fluids segment through its in-house brands, FK FUKUOKA and ZR.ZURIC, offering engine oil, automotive transmission fluid, gear oil, brake fluid, and other essential automotive fluids to meet the diverse needs of the market.


The IPO seeks to raise RM26.60 million through the issuance of 133.00 million new ordinary shares at a retail price of RM0.20 per share. 


The proceeds from the IPO will be allocated as follows:
* RM4.97 million for the reconstruction of a new factory and warehouse to support lubricants and fluids production.
* RM6.00 million for the purchase of machinery, equipment, and raw materials to establish blending and fill-and-finish production lines.
* RM0.84 million to support the launch and distribution of the Group’s in-house branded electric vehicle (“EV”) chargers.
* RM5.50 million for repayment of bank borrowings.
* RM4.79 million for general working capital.
* RM4.50 million for listing expenses.
