The typical lesions are coin-shaped; by confluence, big plaques of the size of the palm of a hand or
figurate areas may be formed.

figurate erythemas (erythema chronicum migrans and erythema marginatum) and other conditions with annular, scaling plaques (tinea corporis [ringworm], annular psoriasis, pityriasis rosea, syphilis (secondary stage), andmycosis fungoides).
