Efforts are directed at re-engaging African traditions and cultures with a view to exhuming, projecting and applying aspects that have been proven to be essential for sustainable human living and interactions. To achieve this, the current situation of African languages in the modern human languages technologies arena is examined with the aim of providing evidence-based analysis of the challenges confronting the technological rendering of African languages. The prospects for engaging the instruments of modern computing technologies in African languages processing are highlighted through effective strategies drawing on Yorùbá language experiments.

Sometimes, a major challenge consumers face is where and when to buy a particular product, be it consumable or non-consumable. This paper presents the application of Software Development techniques to make useful, accurate, and reliable information about markets available to people. "Mobile Market Intelligence System" is a system that brings information about markets in the Ede Federal constituency to the users' doorstep. On touch, the user can access the markets in this constituency, the day of a market, common product available in such a market, and the distance from the user's location to the market. The location of the market is enhanced by the use of GPS (Global Positioning System). The system was developed using Javascripts, android studio, and mysql. The proposed system was evaluated based on the users' assessment to determine the system's efficiency in terms of ease of usage, reliability, and relevance of the system. Likert-Scale Responses (LSR) were used to evaluate the strength and acceptability of the system.

In Nigeria, cooperative has since become a strong instrument of achieving rural, communal and national development. In this paper, a Web-Base Centralized Cooperative Information Management System is presented. It was develop to enhance the operations of cooperative society where they can log on using unique password to register their society and also provide detail of their financial statement such as (membership saving, loan issued, loan repayment, loan out-sand, net surplus or dividend, interest rate, number of register member etc.) at end of each fiscal year. Macromedia Dreamweaver was used to design the user interface; Java Programming Language was used to implement the business logic while MySQL was used for the database. Results from the evaluation shows that the system will greatly assists the government in the collation of data on cooperative societies for planning and also assist other government agencies in gathering, collating and analyzing data that can facilitate further development in the area of commerce and industry.

They are either autonomous or semi-autonomous and can carry cameras, sensors, communication equipment or other payloads. Their uses have been seen as the most effective for aerial surveillance. In this paper, we review the various trends in their development vis-à-vis their application in aerial surveillance. The results gathered from our review shows that UAVs are very effective for aerial surveillance.

This paper presents the development a morphological analyser that generates standard Yorùbá nouns by affixing Yorùbá vowels with monosyllabic verbs. Data were collected in conformity with the rules. Computational model was designed for the system based on the knowledge obtained using Finite State Automata (FSA) technique and the system was implemented using python programming language. The results gathered from expert opinion shows that the system performs as expected owing to the size of the corpus used. Other areas noted for further study includes; morphology analyzer for other Yorùbá language part of speech (verb, preposition, etc).
