“Make sure you hold on really tight to Mummy’s hand, yeah?”
Ava nodded, still looking around in wonder.
“Do you want Mummy to carry you? Or are you okay walking?” you sighed, looking at your daughter’s stumbling legs.
She looked up at you and put her hands up, making you chuckle. About half an hour ago she was sobbing as she insisted she was big enough to walk by herself, and now here we were.
“Okay, come on then,” you chuckled, lifting her up and into your arms, “see up there? All those people?”
Ava strained her neck before nodding and looking back to you.
“That’s where we’re going,” you said.
“Why?”
“So we can see Daddy!” you exclaimed, “but first of all we have to queue with all of Daddy’s fans.”
“Why?”
“Because it’s a surprise for Daddy!”
“Why?”
“Because he misses you!”
“And Jasper? And Eli?” Ava asked, wrapping her arms around your neck.
“Of course! But remember Daddy and Jasper had that whole weekend where it was only them?” you asked, looking both ways before crossing the road, making sure your daughter was safely in your arms.
Ava hummed in response.
“We’re gonna do the same! Just Ava and Mummy!” you cooed, giving her an eskimo kiss, making her squeal with laughter, “that sound good?”
Ava nodded, “I like it!”
“Good,” you chuckled, walking over and looking towards all the fans, sighing as you went and stood in the line, “now, we wait.”
“Why?”
“Why you always asking why?!” you exclaimed, tickling Ava’s belly, making her scream with laughter.
“When do we get to see Daddy?!” Ava whined, flopping onto your shoulder.
“Soon baby, soon,” you chuckled, patting her bum.
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry b-but are you Y/N Seo?!” the girl in front of you exclaimed, starting in English, finishing Korean.
You chuckled, “yeah I am. Nice to meet you! What’s your name?”
“Oh my god!” she gasped, “hello! I’m Hani! Chae, Chae! Look! It’s Y/N and Ava!”
Her friend turned around confused before gasping and bowing, you bowing as well.
“Ava, say hi,” you chuckled, stroking Ava’s hair.
Ava looked up to the girl and shyly smiled before hiding back in your shoulder.
“Ah! She’s so cute!” Hani exclaimed, before pouting, “wait, where’s Jasper and Elijah?”
“Oh, they’re with my parents at the moment,” you nodded, “Jasper and Johnny had a boys day the other day, so me and Ava are having a girls day.”
The girls giggled, “you and Johnny are so cute! I hope you stay together for a long time.”
You chuckled, “me too, I guess.”
“Excuse me,” Ava said, still resting her head on your shoulder but now turning her face to look at Hani.
“Yes?” Hani smiled.
“You’re very pretty,” Ava smiled, hiding her face bashfully after speaking.
Hani giggled, “thank you Ava! You’re very sweet!”
Ava giggled, looking towards the phone with which Hani’s friend was filming her with, waving.
“You’re great with the camera baby,” you chuckled, “you’re like your dad.”
Hani and her friend laughed, tickling Ava, making her giggle. One thing for sure was that she was getting just as much, if not more love than her dad.
_______
“Seoul!” Taeyong screamed, jogging to join the other boys in a line as they all shouted together, “to the world! This has been NCT!”
“Thank you and goodnight!” Taeyong shouted, the boys all bowing individually as they waved and shouted their ‘thank you’s.
“Daddy!” Ava shouted.
“Come on, we’re gonna go and see him,” you said, wishing the girls around you and safe ride home as you left to go to the bodyguards at the side of the stage.
They helped you and Ava through the barrier and round the stage to the back room where there were hundreds of people. Sound people, light people, choreographers, vocal trainers, they were all there in support of NCT’s first all-member concert in Seoul.
“Excuse me,” you said, stopping a venue worker, “where’s the dressing room? I’m Johnny’s wife.”
“Ah, down the hall and to the left,” he smiled, waving at Ava who smiled sleepily back at him.
You bowed, hoisting Ava further on your shoulder and walking down the hall just as he said.
“Y/N noona!” Jaemin exclaimed, “Ava!”
Ava’s head perked up, at the call of her name, “Uncle Jaemin!”
“How did you like the concert, Ava?” he asked.
“I like it!” Ava laughed, “it was very loud.”
“It was very loud,” Jaemin nodded, “did you wear ear protection?”
“Sometimes,” Ava giggled, “but I said I didn’t need it.”
“Of course not! Big girl,” Jaemin chuckled, “Daddy’s in the dressing room, go and see him, yeah? He’s very tired.”
You smiled, “well done, Jae.”
“Thanks noona,” Jaemin smiled, squeezing Ava’s chubby cheeks before continuing on his way.
You carried on down the hallway, knocking on the door of the dressing room, opening the door slowly.
“Hello,” you said, Ava pushing open the door and smiling as she saw Johnny sat on the sofa.
“Daddy!” she exclaimed, wriggling until you let her down, running straight for Johnny who scooped her up in his arms.
“Ava!” he cheered, “hello, my baby! I missed you!”
You chuckled, closing the door slowly.
“Hey Y/N,” Taeyong smiled, pulling you into a hug, “you alright?”
“Yeah, but I never thought it would be so tiring to come to a concert with a four-year-old,” you chuckled, “well done though, it was amazing.”
“Really?” Taeyong beamed, “thanks.”
You looked back to Johnny and Ava. Johnny was now on the sofa, Ava sat on his lap as she faced him, playing with all his jewellery as he spoke to her in funny voices. You sat on the sofa opposite them, Mark sitting down next to you.
“Yo they are exact copies of each other,” Mark said, laughing at the sight of them, “like a lot of people in this group now have kids but those two? 100% copy and paste.”
You nodded, “kinda sad when you remember I carried her for nine months.”
Mark chuckled, “yeah, that’s just how it is.”
You paused, “hold on. Jaemin and Areum.”
Mark paused, pointing, “I see your point.”
“Mummy! Daddy’s being mean!” Ava exclaimed before Johnny blew a raspberry on her neck, making her scream with laughter.
“No! Ava’s being meaner!” Johnny exclaimed.
You sighed, “no, I take Jaemin and Areum back, I see your point.”
