Summary:

After two months stuck in the Prison Dimension, Leo and Donnie made it home.

They slowly readjust to normal life. Frequent mind melding isn’t the worst coping mechanism they could have developed. Leo is slowly healing from his injuries. Donnie is steadily reacclimating to his own body. The twins are even sleeping in separate rooms again. For a few minutes at a time, at least.

But recovery, both mental and physical, is a process. One that will take longer than they’d like.

Not to mention, since they got back, Donnie has been feeling…odd.

I genuinely believe that the new SW trilogy wouldn’t have flopped out into irrelevance like it did if they hadn’t dumped Finn on the side of the freeway like a new pet rabbit the week after easter

Don't know why I'm reblogging Star Wars sequel stuff tonight but here I am

FOCUSING ON FINN WOULD HAVE BEEN SO GOOD!!!

a-simple-gremlin

Having been a stormtrooper, Jedi Finn would have been the perfect narrative foil to Kyle Ren and I stand by that. One showing that evil can come from good upbringing, the other showing that good can come from bad upbringing.

Post Villain-of-the-Week-Scuffle Nap.

Good morning everyone! (Welcome to my seminar!) Here's some Portal Duo snuggling to start off your day! What's the point of having the ability to draw turtles if you don't indulge in the softest of fluff once in a while?

Just ignore the fact that, with Leo's canon bed setup, there's really no room for Raph to be standing on the other side. How's he doing that? Magic ig.

(I feel like this goes without saying, but you never know: T-cest, do NOT interact; I will punt you to the moon.)

Vivaldi played by the South African elementary school Goede Hoop Marimba Band

Turn ON the sound

AMAZING

katsdom

Slow down, turn on the sound and take a couple of minutes to enjoy this!

hieronymus-bush

I think Vivaldi would have been tickled by this as he actually wrote so much of his music for an all girl orphanage/school.

So to see a group of girls still playing his music hundreds of years later?!?!?!

On an instrument he'd never seen?!?!?!

Botw is such an interesting take on post apocalypse, because it isn't really dystopian. It is a wound healed over, a world that has forgotten the end of itself, and in that, has begun anew. Grandparents whisper their nightmares into the wind, and smile at their kin. The garrisons that remain are sodden ashes in the dirt, a burial ground, and the most fertile soil for miles. You do not know the past that your body remembers. You do not know the voices that linger, and yet you follow. You follow, because the world has forgotten you, and you have nothing that is yours to remember.

Islam is a religion of oppression and conquest.

sunder-the-gold

Judaism is a herd of rhinos. Sticks to itself, defends itself violently, isn't interested in expanding much, extremely durable. The rhinos must always be led by rhinos, but otherwise the rhinos don't care who their neighbors are. Their strategy saw them survive two falls of Israel until they had an Israel again.

Christianity is a viral bacteriophage. Devours bacteria that sicken the host (literacy rates, science, and equality flourish in its wake), crosses any 'species' barrier, spreads like wildfire, mutates to adapt for better propagation but many strains lose the core DNA and become something infertile or even malignant. Case in point, it is arguably the source from which "ideologies" (like Marxism) sprang. The pure strain of the Christian virus doesn't need to be the head of the host to live in harmony with it; it's just there to eat what makes the host sick.

Islam is a locust swarm. Explosive growth, rapid consumption, rapid decline when there's nothing left to invade and devour. They conquered the Middle-East, Super-Saharan Africa, and parts of Europe, but after their empire lost prominence and fell apart, they blamed science and abandoned the pursuit of truth for the pursuit of temporal power. Islam doctrinally demands Muslims seek to subvert countries to become caliphates, conquer and absorb countries into caliphates, or destroy countries that cannot be made caliphates.

I was initially opposed to what the above reblog was saying, but then I realized how accurate it was.

^^ I'm so used to seeing "Christianity is a virus" metaphors that I really had to slow down and reread that to see that it wasn't actually intended as insulting
