Hello! Welcome to the blog, where I occasionally remember to cross post my stuff! @ababa-admin is my main/personal blog where I treat tumblr like the hellsite that it is, feel free to check that out too
My name is Ababa, pronouns She/Her and sometimes Dumb/Ass. I write for a few different fandoms, but my most recent and posted work has primarily been for My Hero Academia and Stardew Valley.
I only post my shorter pieces here, never more than two parts. Check out my AO3 for my longer stuff!

Our Stance On Generative AI
Due to recent events in the Stardew Valley fandom here on Tumblr, we wanted to clarify our stance on the use of generative AI. It should come as no surprise that we, as writers, do not support the use of generative AI in any form. Generative AI is creative theft, even when used for character chats and to detect if others have used AI.
If you want to support creatives, do not feed the machine. Do not use AI.
Our community will be blocking accounts that promote the use of generative AI in any form.
OUR MISSION
To encourage writers. Writers need engagement and feedback, it motivates and keeps them going. This in turn keeps stories from being abandoned through demotivation and burnout. New writers keep fandoms alive, we need them to keep the conversation going. Here, we do our part to boost writers, however new or experienced, and to keep writers writing.
To sound off about our blorbos. This means our favourite Stardew blorbos, the lil guys from the modded content, our own OCs... all of it! Having a space to really get into this stuff is where plot bunnies are bred, and good stories are written.
To support each other. Every member is equal. Every headcanon, however insane, is valid. Debate is welcome, there is no one way, one reading of a situation, no definitive answer. And thank Yoba for that! If there was, wouldn't life be boring...
The guild aims to be a welcoming and supportive space, promoting new ideas and old. The Discord server is busy and active at most times of the day, and there's something there for everyone.

What are you even doing? The thought’s crossed your mind more than once, on more than one occasion. You have no business staring, have no business watching the way long, slender fingers splay across the exposed expanse of someone else’s waist.
You have no business longing for this man.
None.
Not even an iota.
You keep looking anyway.
“Blegh!” Sam gags following your line of sight as he plops down next to you on the docks. “It’s the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies. Don’t you know you’re supposed to be looking at pretty things?”
You force yourself to grimace and look away when Sebastian’s tongue darts from his mouth to cram down the throat of his new girlfriend. Winter, her name alone leaves a bitter taste in your mouth, makes your gut twist with something ugly and green that you refuse to name.
“Yeah, well, ugly things also have a tendency to call attention to themselves,” you huff, frowning as you lean into Sam’s side, and he’s kind enough to open up his arms to drape his blanket over your shoulders as you drop your head onto his.

summary: the beach episode nobody asked for except it goes great for everyone but sebastian

Sebastian hates the heat. Hates the way it makes the fabric of his shirt cling to his skin, the way sweat crushes his hair to his face. Hates how he’s forced out of his hoodies and long sleeves into t-shirts.
But even still, Sam manages to drag him down to the beach. Sebastian rolls his jeans up to his calves and carries his shoes in one hand before he even steps onto the beach. Whereas Sam doesn’t give two shits if he gets sand in his sneakers, or if sand manages to get kicked up onto his board shorts.
Sebastian actually can’t remember if he ever liked the beach as a kid. He remembers loving the beach in Winter. When it had been just him and his mom, before Demetrius had moved in and fucked it all up. He’d loved the snow on the beach, weird, but so beautiful. He’d loved building snowgoons with his mom, sand and snow sticking to their gloves and pants.
He hadn’t minded it then, the sand sticking to him at every possible chance.
But he certainly minds it now. Huffing irritably as he sits himself down at the end of the dock while Sam dives straight in. He’d probably mind it less if he’d remembered to bring a joint or two with him, take the edge off in the way cigarettes can’t.
“Dude,” Sam drawls from where he’s treading water, waves lapping at his shoulders. “Could you at least pretend to not be miserable for an hour?”

when the objectively bad person has traumatic and honestly reasonable reasons for why theyre like that but it doesnt excuse their actions and only serves to make them more tragic as a character
