I love making posts about how aspec unity and the commonalities of different aspec experiences, and then people reblog them saying "yeah, we need more unity! These days I feel like everyone hates me for being aroace!"
It's like. My dude, if you can't handle seeing aroallos being annoyed that the entire aspec experience gets condensed down in the minds of cishet people to just aroaces, if you can't see us form community with each other without seeing it as a personal attack on yourselves, if you can't handle any discussion in the aro community that isn't about you or doesn't explicitly include you, just go to literally any other website. I promise you that there, the aroallos are all still thoroughly silenced.
"The community was less divided before the split attraction model." Yeah, you know why? Because there wasn't even a thought that people like me, who are very allosexual, could even have a place in the community. Because the term aromantic wasn't even coined until 2005, so of course there was no division between aroallos and aroaces before then, because we didn't have a word for ourselves and were silent and without community.
When I say that aroallos, aroaces, and alloaces all face the same struggles, that does not actually mean I agree with you when you say that the aroallos are too negative and actually need to shut up and be more positive and return to the background.
I'm the only aroallo anyone in my life knows, the only aroallo I've ever met in real life, but sure. Aromantic spaces are now completely dominated by alloaros who all want aroaces to go away.
