1. On a scale from 1 to 10 how much do you enjoy editing and why?
   I’d actually put this up at an 8 I think. Most of my trouble writing comes during the first draft process b/c I’m a perfectionist and I have to write things in order from start to finish, so the first draft is sometimes super painful to get out if I’m having trouble focusing. But once the draft is in place, editing is SO much easier because I already have something down to work with! It’s easier to adjust than to produce, and I can skip around as needed in a way that I can’t really get myself to do when writing the draft.
2. Is there a piece of media that inspires your writing?
   I mean everything I’ve ever enjoyed since childhood tbh but if I had to pick one piece of media as formative in a fandom sense it’s Homestuck. Second person is still my favorite POV for how it lets you get in characters’ heads, and while I mostly avoid it in Hoyo fandoms b/c readers outside of Homestuck fandom hate it, that closeness to a character’s thoughts is something I strive to emulate in any POV.
   
   Homestuck also made me aware of how much I love massive ensemble casts with complex character dynamics. And it was extremely formative for kinks and preferences both narrative and sexual lmao. Weird alien xenobiology stuff, doomed narratives/characters, trans characters, oviposition, body horror, weird time/parallel universe shit, polyamorous and nonstandard relationships, multishipping and switching. All kinds of good stuff.
3. Share a headcanon for one of your favorite ships.
   Well right now Phaidei owns my soul so I’ll give you something for them, based on some lines Mydei says early on about how as a representative of Kremnos he can’t just do/accept anything he wants: Mydei has been interested in pursuing a relationship for Phainon for a while now, as someone that is his rare match/equal, but politics prevented him from acting on those urges. Now he’s no longer the crown prince but his promise to Aglaea meant that he left soon after abdicating, so he didn’t trouble Phainon by bringing it up (he knows Phainon’s fragile heart couldn’t bear to be separated again after that).
   
   However, after receiving the signet ring from Phainon, he considers the two of them engaged or possibly even married, and if the situation were to allow him to return to Okhema, he would ‘court’ Phainon Kremnos-style by pinning him in a duel, throwing him over his shoulder, and publicly carrying him back to his quarters to have his way with him 😉

1. Last thing you wrote down in your notes app?
   I don’t use an app for notes often but it was literally just ‘my heart a fortress, overrun’ which was the title for my most recent fic. Was looking for a better title than what I had previously and that, of course, occurred to me right after I shut my PC off and headed to bed, so I dumped it in the notes app on my phone.
   
   As for Scrivener, where my notes usually go, my most recent note/snippet is an unrefined line for a fic that won’t be coming for a while b/c I have so much else to write first: “Of all of them, my dear Mydeimos, you will shine as the clearest memory in the new world.”
2. An unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character.
   I don’t actually know if she’s popular or not but I think she is: I’m torn on Citlali because, while I understand they mean to write her and Ororon’s relationship as comic relief, it comes off uncomfortably close to actual abuse to me and makes me :/ about her despite liking her design. She definitely doesn’t intend it as abuse, but as someone that went through an emotionally abusive childhood myself (also perpetrated mostly by an alcoholic), it’s easy for me to interpret Ororon’s appeasement behavior, frequent worries that Citlali is coming to check up on him/will ruin his plans, and possibly even the easy willingness to defect to the Fatui as signs that his relationship with Citlali has resulted in some mental trauma.
   
   I don’t hate her! But it makes it hard to love her. Because it’s very possible to traumatize or abuse someone without intending to, especially if you have your own undealt-with issues like her shame, self-imposed mostly-isolation, and alcoholism. I think it would be possible for them to work through their issues especially after the Archon quest, but Genshin is never going to give that to us; they will continue to use the dynamic for comedic effect, and I’ll just have to keep making faces at it when they do.
3. Name three good things about a character you hate.
   I don’t really hate a lot of characters - I don’t think there’s a single Genshin character I can say I hate, and for HSR I can think of maybe two playables/prominent NPCs thus far that I could say I actively dislike, so I’ll pick one of them - Sparkle. Not going into why I dislike her here since that’s not the point of this question.
   
   First off, she’s gorgeous. I love her design, and was initially hoping to get her based on that and her kit before I met her and changed my mind. Second, her kit: I know it’s common to talk about how she’s fallen off nowadays, but man, I WOULD love to have her for my DHIL, nobody skill points like she skill points. And third: she’s basically the goose from untitled goose game. It’s extremely hilarious in a fucked up way that she just strutted around in the Dreamscape causing problems on purpose. And I’m legally obligated to support women’s rights and women’s wrongs, but especially when they’re funny.

1. Dream theme/plot for a fic and who would write it best?
   I’ve been yearning for ages for a Chaeya fic where Kaeya has a Foul Legacy form too and they have a flirtatious rivalry sparring thing going on in whatever the slight AU is that always ends up with them pinning each other homoerotically with daggers at throats and some day they push the aggression just a little too far and one of them (probably Childe) pulls out Foul Legacy only for the other one to grin wickedly and pull out their own Foul Legacy form like “what now, huh?” and then they probably fuck about it while in Foul Legacy forms. Variants could include Foul Legacy being in heat/rut or triggered by the presence of the other one when they usually would be able to control themselves b/c there’s not usually another one around to deal with.
   
   Who would write it best? I trust Adri (abyssalwretch on AO3) with anything Chaeya, so I KNOW I would enjoy any version or twist on this that they wrote. But their Chaeya fics are on hiatus and in that case I would still be very happy to see it from anybody that’s not a Kaeluc anti, b/c my favorite kind of Chaeya is the kind that acknowledges the complexity that having Childe in Kaeya’s life either during or after a Kaeluc relationship would add.
   
   Will I write it myself someday? I’d love to but don’t know if I’ll ever get around to it. Fight-flirting is so hard to write well.

3. Give yourself some constructive criticism on your writing
   I cannot write a plot/longer fic to save my life b/c I struggle at maintaining tension and pacing more than I probably should after 10-15 years writing.
   
   I’m well aware that my tendency to focus on/write toward sex scenes is a part of that, which I’m kind of torn about, because I love exploring characters and their dynamics through sex and I won’t apologize for that. But! I also know some character mini-arcs in my fics might be more satisfying if I addressed more issues outside of sex as well. I’m trying, I promise, but also it IS a hobby and not professional writing. I’m writing for my dick first and my audience second lmao.
4. Recommend an author or fic you love
   Gonna give a handful of stuff!
   - I’ll start with two of yours that come to mind first. Leveling Up All by Yourself, Beautiful? (Childe ‘helps’ Neuvillette ascend using lumitoiles), and five star review (Zhongli, Childe, and a horrific sex toy).
   - (falling) feels like flying by notavodkashot (WIP; ballet instructor Zhongli, single parent Tartaglia, and the Guizhong polycule I love with all my heart)
   - swallow all the light by Clove/crocodile (Mydei would literally rather die than admit he wants to fuck Phainon)
   - old fashioned lover boy by dfp (Caelus the certified old man enjoyer seduces Welt, who was not mentally prepared to weather tropical storm Caelus. I have thought about this fic at least once a week for the past two years.)

1. Personal wisdom or a life hack you swear on
   If you’re microwaving a product with bread in it - stuff like pizza counts - put a glass or bowl of water in there with it. It steams and helps rehydrate the bread so it’s not overly tough. Also, if you’re not gluten-averse and have a dutch oven or an all-metal frying pan you don’t mind putting in the oven, you can make absolutely godly artisan cheese bread with this recipe in about 2.5 hours (1h rise ~30m cook, 1h cool), using only five ingredients (bread flour, salt, yeast, water, cheese). Cheese optional, I’m just a slut for it so I shared the cheesy version.
2. Weirdest topic I’ve researched for a writing project
   I’m not actually sure what the weirdest research subject is but I once made my husband sit fully clothed in a chair for like fifteen minutes while I climbed around on him in various also-fully-clothed positions to make sure things I was writing would actually work irl. And I’m sure that was weird for him.
3. How did I get into writing fic?
   My first fics were either the Legend of Korra fics or the Guild Wars 2 character blurbs I wrote before the game came out, but I think those were around the same time. I’d read fic since webring days including a lot of Squall/Seifer and Cloud/Sephiroth and Flik/Viktor (from Suikoden) on ff.net when I was like 13 lmao and I guess I just had to wait for the right inspiration to start dipping my toe in on the writing end. Homestuck was where it really took off though, and still remains my most-written fandom! I am easily swayed by alien junk.

1. Advice on writer’s block/low creativity?
   REST. Don’t force it. This is obviously not always feasible if you have a deadline but when it comes to for-fun fandom fics, I find that trying to make myself try to write when the brain isn’t braining just feels like pulling teeth and makes me want to do it even less. I’ve been writing fic over a decade now and whenever this happens and I give myself permission to not write, I’m usually back to it within a few months feeling refreshed, more able to focus, and with new ideas.
2. Favorite type of comment to receive on your work?
   That’s a hard one b/c honestly even a single emoji feels precious in this comment economy. But I do usually try to weave in references to real-life things or in-game events and lore, and I love it when people make it clear that they notice those, or if they point to other very deliberate things I did that made them feel a way. Don’t care if it’s something emotionally impactful or something horny, I work hard on both aspects haha.
3. What will make me click away from a fic immediately?
   Shitty formatting. Typos and grammar issues are acceptable as long as the characterization/dynamics/story are good, but if text is run-together unspaced paragraphs or has consistent major problems with punctuation or they don’t separate paragraphs based on who’s acting/speaking and it causes confusion, I’ll click out pretty fast.
