Dr. Raphael Akangbe, an accomplished Digital Health/Health Informatics and information management, consultant and lecturer with over 20 years of experience both in healthcare system and higher institutions of learning (locally and internationally).
Raphael is a globally recognized thought leader, keynote speaker, advisor and entrepreneur with expertise in wearable technologies, digital health, IoT and healthcare innovation based in Lagos, Nigeria. As CEO of Xeventy2.0 Health Limited, a company that’s determined to implement digital healthcare transformation in developing countries, he explores the intersection of technology and business, analyses the impact of disruptive innovations and shares future trends in the marketplace with his followers.

Raphael earned a Bachelor degree in Health Information Management, MSc. In Health Informatics and Information Management 2013, DBA and PhD in Health Information Management and Health Management Information System respectively, in 2016. He is currently concluded his second PhD in Digital Health and Health Informatics. Through his course, he developed a passionate interest in Digital Health tools, such as EMRs, EHRs, Telemedicine, cybesecurity, Health Informatics, and Healthcare Data Protection. etc.
In particular, he focused on topics like EMRs/EHRs, Healthcare Data Security and Protection, and AI in Healthcare. After he graduated, he worked hard to attain his role as a Digital Health Expert for 15 years. He’s presently an Assistant Director, working with Lagos State Ministry of Health, Nigeria.

He is the current first Data Protection Officer for Lagos State Ministry of Health, under the Directorate of Healthcare Planning, Research and Statistics.
He is a Treasurer and a board member, at Society for Telemedicine and e-Health in Nigeria (SfTeHiN). A Non-governmental and not-for-profit society. It serves primarily to support telemedicine and e-health in Nigeria.
He wants to engage more with influential decision-makers and thoughtful leaders in international public policy. He's open to challenges, conversations, and exchange of ideas from the top players in the health care and digital health industry.
His long-term goal is to become an international digital health/health informatics and information management policy adviser. He wants to use his untiring commitment and drive to bring more dignity and autonomy to the citizens of developing countries.
