Our mission is to renew a consensus of America as a nation under God with unique interests worthy of defending that flow from its people, institutions, and history, where individuals’ enjoyment of freedom is predicated on just laws and healthy communities.
About the Center for Renewing America
The Center for Renewing America (CRA) was launched in 2021 by Russ Vought, who had served as Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in the first Trump Administration. As OMB Director, Vought saw firsthand how an entrenched federal bureaucracy resisted the agenda of the President. Meanwhile, the conservative movement lacked an organization capable of fighting and winning on key issues.

The Center, now under the leadership of Eric Teetsel, was created to confront the woke and weaponized agenda of the ruling class and replace it with one that puts God, country, and community at the center of the policy debate in Washington. We do this through:
1. Providing research and policy ammunition to lawmakers on a range of issues that put the interests of Americans first at home and abroad.
2. Leading the charge in national policy battles deemed too perilous by legacy conservative organizations but key to American renewal.
3. Advancing paradigm-shifting policy narratives that properly orient position and interests for conservatives to out-maneuver the left and win the most consequential battles of the day.
The priorities of God, country, and community have been vindicated on the national stage, and paradigms are shifting in ways once thought impossible. But victory is not final. The entrenched forces that oppose America’s renewal remain, and the battle for the nation’s future continues.
CRA will continue to press forward—holding the government accountable to its people, securing the nation’s borders, and defending the timeless principles and truths that make America great.
