Good enough that I had to get a second set for making more jerky!

Good enough that I had to get a second set for making more jerky!
These racks are perfect for what I use them for: jerky and bacon. 2 sets of them fit perfectly in my smoker, doubling my productivity. I've had zero issues with rust, or any sort of flakiness with the pan as other reviewers have mentioned. That being said, I don't put anything on the pan to bake, in fact I only use them as a catch pan for bacon so I don't have a grease fire on my hands. If I had another smoker that could utilize another set, I'd get one.I do have to agree with one reviewer about how it's shipped though. It's not shipped in an Amazon box, the retail packaging just has a shipping label slapped on it, a small amount of shipping tape, and that's it. That leaves a bit to be desired.

I use this grill with a LEM jerky shooter on my Traeger Grill. If you love Jerky and hate to pay the high prices at the store, this is the only way to go. I use 50% ground turkey and 50% extra lean ground beef. I add the cure and mix well... let it sit for a few hours then add some spices, usually garlic and pepper, or teriyaki, or even some Worchester sauce to the pepper and garlic.. shoot it out on this rack (set of three) I get 12 extra long sticks on each rack, except the top rack gets 13. Then 2-4 hours on the Traeger Grill in smoking mode, then let the cool on the kitchen counter, then bag them in seal a meal bags, and eat! Delicious and a healthy snack.

The grills have feet on them and sit on the rack below them so you have to keep the stuff you put on them about 3/8 of an inch from the left and right edges, but this is not a problem. These are high quality racks. Smoke is hard to remove, but these go in the sink to soak over night, then put them in the dishwasher and they come out good as new. The bottom pan has some kind of non stick surface on it, so I just soak and wipe clean. I thought they were a bit expensive compared to what I purchased in the store, but these are really the trick, and I'm very pleased with my purchase, well worth the money.

I wanted to buy another so I can stick 6 high but the price has doubled to $59! I will not buy another for that price. It's worth the $30 but not $59.

Not sure why this got poor reviews from others. Works as it should and triples your oven space.

Pros: Adds a ton of extra space in the oven. Rack was mostly non-stick. Racks fold up flat for storing.
Cons: I wouldn't bake on the pan. Could use a more robust non-stick coating. But that might be fixed with some oil.

Overall: Great product for the price. Would buy again but don't need to since it adds so much space to my oven. Also, i only have one oven.

Not sure about the product itself yet. I bought this as a gift and didn’t open the outer box until I was wrapping it today. The box the rack comes in is all beat up, so the presentation is terrible. My husband is the type that can overlook that, but I’m disappointed. With the price point, they could have taken better care of the outside of the box. We’ll see how the product holds up.

    UPDATE: product is awesome!

I'm using this in my oven for dehyrating meat / making my own beef jerky. It has not been exposed to temps above 200. My experience over a dozen uses has been great and nothing like those who left negative feedback.

After many hours in the oven, I rinse off loose drippings in the pan and on the racks with hot water and paper towels. From there, I fill the pan just about full with hot soapy water, and place each rack upside down into the pan, leaving each rack soak for about 10 minutes. Afterwards, anything that was crusty or stuck on pretty much just rinses off or easily wipes off with a dish rag. I have not even come close to having urge to use anything abrasive on pan or racks to speed up the cleaning process. The coatings on the racks and pan are like new so far with at least a dozen uses over many hours each.

I have placed 2-3 lbs of thinly sliced meat on each rack, and there has never been any sign they wanted to sag. The racks stack onto one another just fine, but if the leg hinge point was a little tighter, it would help them seem a little less floppy. That is my only minor issue with this item.

The rack system is just OK. I don't like it used by itself in an oven for jerky making. There is simply not enough room between racks. This easily doubles the drying time in the oven.

The pieces all seem in decent quality. I wash them in the dishwasher and after 2-3 uses I have seen no rust. I'm not sure how well the non-stick coating works. I use silicon grate mats on top of these metal racks and they just can't be beat.

My work-around approach going forward will be to increase the amount of space in between the racks as I use them in my oven. I have a few ideas and I'm sure one will work out. As for using the rack system as it is, I just can't get over the fact that it offers such little space for air to really flow between the racks so that is a major flaw in my mind and one that people should be aware of.

This item works great. The total stack height works great in my oven for making a bunch of bacon at one time with minimal mess, and very flat bacon (great for sandwiches). The one thing to note is that the rack is the size described. The pan flares out (as a pan should). But it made it about 1" too big for my oven. I field modified my pan by bending up the ends, and my oven door can just barely close (perfect! no wasted space). BTW fill the trays with bacon, leave on at ~320. If it smokes, turn it down. Leave it in for about 1-2 hours watching closely for desired crispness.

Works really well. I bought them to fit on my smoker bbq. Which they do but only 2 which is fine. So if you have a pit boss 440 and looking for jerky racks you can stack 2 of these bad boys in there.
