Lion Angelo - Struts

This was a fun attempt at rotoscoping Simba’s strutting walk cycle into my lion sona’s walk. I love how it came out BUT I definitely do plan on redoing it again, this time by actually rough animating my own strut walk cycle instead of tracing over the OG movie footage. Though I’ve learned some things by doing it this way, I think I have a pretty good idea on how i’m gonna go about it in my own walk cycle, hopefully in the near future I can indulge on that idea :>

Even when I try to switch up styles, one cub still looks like Taka (Scar) and that was unintentional too. So I did another sketch to lean more into it xD

Fiddling around with making my TLK sona act more like a cartoon lion than a realistic lion (my logical / “gotta be realistic and make sense with their anatomy” thinking brain always keeps me from going full on cartoony sometimes)

In my fanon, When Kopa was a teen he ran away from home to follow his own path. Getting away from the weight of his heir status and the responsibility that came with it. Which led his lil sister, Kiara to eventually become Queen later on.

Nala thought her oldest son was long gone/dead after so many attempts of trying to find him and having no luck even beyond the Pridelands territory. Thankfully, life turned out okay and her son returned!

Clearly, Kiara is just worried that her older brother, Kopa maybe relies on her a bit too much. Especially since she became Queen. Hell- even their younger brother, Kion been left the Pridelands and got his own thing going with Rani.

“Kopa was always really independent, out there following his own path since they were cubs. But why the switch up? What’s got him stuck here?” She ponders…
