Surprisingly Complex..
This series definitely stands out from the rest, given the topic it covers. It has a unique vibe, good soundtrack, and decent pacing. Although it can be a bit slower than most, it uses its SLOW PACING to its advantage.
It navigates the relationships of the main characters in a rather somber, but eloquent way. It invokes pensiveness in the viewer.
Honestly, one of the most MATURE tales about this specific topic. It definitely doesn't tip-toe around the subject and actually addresses it.
Although, it could have used more episodes!

Highly recommend! This series dives deep into complex emotions & relationships. Is love between step-siblings wrong? The ambiguous ending skillfully fuels anticipation for further exploration in Season 2 or the novel.

In a nutshell: a boy and a girl of the same age and school become step siblings, and the show is about how their relationship evolve.
While the animation was great and a little bit too artsy for my taste, the show felt very gentle and the great soundtrack really helped to carry this through.
The pacing was mighty slow - not that it's a bad thing, but this whole story could be condensed into 4 or 5 episodes if you really trim some "fat" here and there.
All in all, it was very enjoyable and the characters and setting felt very authentic and believable.
I can't imagine this having a 2nd season, as the story felt very complete by the end, so I guess that's it.
It was a 8.5/10 for me, I'm really going to miss the chill atmosphere of the show.

This is Monogatari in contemporary setting. Loved everything about it, it is slow paced, slightly naive, romance. Frankly, the naive part is not MCs, but everybody else who think butting in is a right thing to do. However, their butting in actually made well-deserving ending.
