Sakaguchi Aya (real name: Futagawa Aya, 二川 文) was born May 22, 1959 in Tokyo, Japan. She was a singer and voice actress affiliated with Office Osawa. She graduated from the Department of Law at Gakushuin University. Her blood type is O.
Sakaguchi started her career in the 1980s as a singer in the independent music group Tokyo Okosama Elec Dan (東京お子様エレキ団) and was the only member to have been part of it from the beginning until it dissolved. The band did work on several CM and jingles, including work for anime shows, which was Sakaguchi's first contact with anime. Afterwards she pursued a solo singing career and did also serve as voice actress and narrator in several anime shows.
