Part of Sunrise. Rose to prominence by directing Shin Seiki GPX Cyber Formula which won the Animage Anime Grand Prix award. Fukuda also directed two more Anime Grand Prix award winners - Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny. With Gundam SEED, Fukuda managed to revive the popularity of Gundam after the commercial failures of Gundam X and Turn A Gundam, which is mostly observed by the selling power of Gundam model kits and toys that Bandai sells.
