Cloud Cushion

 

Het heeft even geduurd maar de wolk waar ik aan begonnen was (lees meer hier) is eindelijk af. Ik vind 'm echt superschattig geworden. Bij het oorspronkelijke patroon is de wolk wit, maar ik had nog heel veel grijs liggen dus daarom heb ik voor grijs gekozen. De wolk was niet moeilijk te maken maar werd uiteindelijk wel veel groter dan ik dacht. Ik haakte met haaknaald 3.5mm dus het formaat is precies goed voor mij (ongeveer 30 cm breed). Ik haakte de wolk met twee bollen Durable Coral Light Grey. In het patroon wordt uitgegaan van haaknaald 6.5mm. Dan krijg je dus wel echt een grote wolk. Het boek vind je hier, en het losse patroon van de wolk vind je hier. Het kussen wat op de achtergrond staat hoort bij een deken waar je een klein stukje van op de voorgrond ziet liggen. It took a while but the cloud I started making (read about it here) is finally finished. I really think it has become super cute. In the original pattern the cloud is white, but I still had a lot of gray, so that's why I opted for gray. The cloud was not difficult to make but in the end much bigger than I thought. I crocheted with crochet hook 3.5mm and two balls of Durable Coral Light Grey. The size is just right for me (approximately 30cm wide), but the pattern is based on crochet hook 6.5mm. Ik had het formaat van deze wolk een beetje onderschat. Toen ik begon dacht ik 'm wel snel af te kunnen hebben, maar dat pakte dus anders uit. Hij is dus nog niet klaar, maar wel bijna zoals je ziet. Dit patroon komt uit het boek Amigurumi at Home van Ana Paula Rímoli. Het is een eenvoudig en makkelijk te volgen patroon. In het boek is deze wolk gehaakt met wit garen en een haaknaald 6.5mm. Ik had geen garen liggen voor een haaknaald 6.5mm, dus ik haakte de wolk met een haaknaald 3mm en twee bollen Durable Coral in de kleur Light Grey. Als je met een haaknaald 6.5mm haakt zal de wolk nog vele malen groter zijn. Dat lijkt me ook nog wel eens leuk om te doen. Mijn wolk is ongeveer 30cm breed. Precies het goeie formaat om ergens op een boekenplank te zetten bijvoorbeeld. Maar nu eerst maar eens alles er op naaien. Dan is hij klaar en kan ik met een volgend project beginnen. Ik weet nog niet wat, maar ik kocht onlangs twee leuke nieuwe boeken dus ik ga vast wel iets vinden. Het Engelse boek Amigurumi at Home is onder meer hier als ebook aanschaffen, het losse patroon van de wolk hier in de Etsy-winkel van Ana. Veel haakplezier gewenst!

I had underestimated the size of this cloud a bit. When I started I thought I could finish it quickly, but it turned out differently. So it's not finished yet, but almost as you can see. This pattern comes from the book Amigurumi at Home by Ana Paula Rímoli. It is a simple and easy to follow pattern. In the book this cloud is crocheted with white yarn and a crochet hook size 6.5mm. I had no yarn for a crochet hook 6.5mm, so I crocheted the cloud with a crochet hook size 3mm and two balls of Durable Coral in the color Light Grey. If you crochet with a crochet hook 6.5mm the cloud will be a lot bigger. I would love to make that version too some day. My cloud is about 30cm wide. Exactly the right size to put it somewhere on a bookshelf for example. But first I'll sew the eyes and the cheeks on the cloud. Then it's all finished and I can start the next project. I don't know what my next project will be, but I recently bought two nice new books so I'm going to find something for sure.
