Hey everyone. I wanted to share my tipping jar and print store. It’s my birthday in 2 weeks, and hehe, would absolutely love any tips or any support in case anyone blessed with a generous heart and disposable income would love to throw anything my way ♡ it’s summer here in the philippines, and at 41*c, all the eggs we kept in our shelves went bad. My sister and I are both autistic picky eaters, and eggs are one of the quick and easy foods we got. Other than that, I got ran over by a golf cart, and it destroyed my only pair of shoes. Just paid for my mom’s lasik! Am the sole caretaker of a disabled family of 4. any wiggle room to keep me and my family of four is deeply appreciated!

“Your answer says a lot about who you are.

What Did You See First? Look closely at the image…

image

What’s the first thing that caught your eye?

A man in a boat

A giant crocodile head

A fish or fishing line

Water/Waves

This simple image can secretly tell us something about you..

A man in a boat: You’re detail-oriented, sensitive, and thoughtful. You observe what others might miss and take careful steps in life.

A crocodile: You have a sharp, analytical mind. You see the bigger picture and face life with realism and logic.

The fish or line: You’re imaginative and creative. You see the world differently and love to explore hidden meanings.

The waves: You appear calm on the surface, but inside, you carry deep thoughts and powerful emotions.

But let me tell you what I see…🥺

I don’t see a crocodile.

I don’t see a boat.

I see myself.

I’m Kariman, a mother trying to protect her baby boy Hamoud—barely two years old—from the crushing jaws of life.

We live under siege, under bombing, under hunger that no one should ever feel.

My stomach is empty, but what breaks me more is when I see my son hungry… and I have nothing to give.

image

I write to you not seeking pity, but as a mother pleading with the world:

Please don’t scroll past our pain.

Please help us survive.

Any support, any donation, even a share—can save a life.

Maybe your hand is the one that can pull us out of this darkness🥺🙏.

[ID: Excerpt from the article linked above split between two images. Transcript:

It was surreal listening to my friends recount everything they had done to get me out: working with lawyers, reaching out to the media, making endless calls to detention centers, desperately trying to get through to ICE or anyone who could help. They said the entire system felt rigged, designed to make it nearly impossible for anyone to get out.

The reality became clear: ICE detention isn’t just a bureaucratic nightmare. It’s a business. These facilities are privately owned and run for profit.

Companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group receive government funding based on the number of people they detain, which is why they lobby for stricter immigration policies. It’s a lucrative business: CoreCivic made over $560m from ICE contracts in a single year. In 2024, GEO Group made more than $763m from ICE contracts.

The more detainees, the more money they make. It stands to reason that these companies have no incentive to release people quickly. What I had experienced was finally starting to make sense.

End ID.]

for further context, CoreCivic owns and manages private prisons and detention centers. and wikipedia indicates that GEO Group is the largest prison operator in the US, citing this quarterly report from the US securities and exchange commission.

37 people were illegally detained in Bellingham, Washington for the ‘crime’ of speaking Spanish. This is so fucking inhumane and cruel

⬆️ racial unity now is matching funds for the detainees and their families. please help if you can.

it’s shameful how long i had to look to find an article covering this story that gives more information besides saying “37 undocumented workers were arrested wednesday.” cascadia news and the AP were the only sources i found that include any journalism whatsoever beyond the police report.

Hey, this is local for me. It would mean a lot if you could help out even a little bit.

Sally just became a big sister to her baby brother Mohammed. Their mother Laila @laylaayman-blog2 has been fundraising trying to support their family through the awful conditions in Gaza, but it is hard for her to keep promoting her cause while taking care of a newborn, and donations have slowed as a result. She needs our help to share her campaign!

Please consider donating what you can, no amount is too small, and share if you cannot donate! Everything helps to get this campaign moving again, so that Laila can provide Sally and Mohammed with their basic needs!

Asked by yousef-family

Dear humanity,

Please Help Me – My Son May Die at Any Moment 💔

I'm yousef from Gaza. 🍉

Can you help my little son please 🙏

My son is suffering from a severe respiratory and a chest crisis, now he is in intensive care because he can't breathe 😔, He needs urgent treatment, it cost 2000$ per week and vaporizer device that cost 1500$.

I appeal you to help my son Donate, Reblog My pinned post

Thanks 🙏

My name is Aisha, a mother of eight children. We are living under constant bombing, starvation, and freezing cold, with no shelter after the Israeli army destroyed our home. My daughter has a small child who lost his father—he was martyred in this brutal war.

I also have a seven-month-old baby who suffers from a sebaceous cyst near his ear and urgently needs surgery to remove it. But I have no money to afford his treatment.

For the second year in a row, my children do not know the joy of Eid. No new clothes, no toys, not even enough food to celebrate like other children. As a mother, I feel helpless, unable to bring happiness to their hearts because of war and poverty.

Eid is approaching, and I beg you to be our helping hand. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a huge difference in my children's lives. Please help us buy them clothes and toys and provide the necessary treatment for my little baby.

sami–onley:

This is my daughter, Salma, only three months old, born into this “cruel war that has been killing innocent people for two years and is still ongoing.” Since her birth, she has felt nothing but fear and hunger, deprived of her most basic rights. She needs food, safety, and a dignified life that every child deserves. Therefore, I appeal to you from the bottom of my heart to support her and extend a helping hand to save her. Your donation today could make a difference in saving her from certain death. Donate here

In case anyone finds it helpful because mobility aids are horrifically expensive and inaccessible…

image

And for those people who have access to mobility devices but might benefit from a second chair they can abuse without risking expensive damage…

Erik Kondo has made a website, Open Source Innovations, that details plans for DIY wheelchairs. These wheelchairs can be made from common materials like wood, plastic, and pvc. They are lightweight and can be custom fit to the user allowing from the same degree of movement you would get from a custom chair. And they are durable and easily repairable. (he has been stress testing his latest design by dropping it down stairs, dropping it out of a car, launching it across a driveway, and throwing it off a deck). Its 12lbs and I think he said its was in the $200 ish range for parts.

He also is working on cheap, open source, accessible designs for beach chairs, off road chairs, motorized attachments (think smart drive), and so on. Plus he skateboards in his wheelchair. Cool dude, helpful info, pass it on.

It’s incredibly sad people have to resort to this, but it’s a damn good resource. Use it. Spread awareness. Maybe one day people with physical disabilities won’t need DIYs like this. But until then, reblog and share.

not to be all i told you so about ancestry tests but 23 and me went bankrupt and can now legally sell human genetic information to the highest bidder, as per their privacy policy which was signed by approx. 15 million test takers

im still mind blown that people really readily submitted their dna so they could be classed by ethnicity on paper permanently. like yeah theres no way this could go badly huh
